	~~\|\|Work~~ in ~~Progress\|\|~~		Seven of us here, what a group! We introduced each other to some of the newer associates, and for a few of us, we more or less got caught up. We made our way to the farm, and as we approached the gate, we came across an elderly, bearded man with exposed arms and legs staring at us. We'd eventually come to know him as Dudende. There was also Broseph Blunt, who invited us in. The other man ate his own... toenails? Then he shrank and disappeared into a termite mound. As for the more kempt man, he gave us a rundown of the situation. Though intelligible, he seemed quite out of it. Regardless, he showed us a lush garden along with some other man in a rocking chair - Spliffin, I believe. Said man was a horseman of sorts. Oh, no, not any of the ones running amok, but one who is in tune with what some associates would describe as "blazing it up." I do not believe anyone was attuned to fire at the time, but it is not an expression I had heard before. First time for everything.

			We were told there was a big creature of concern somewhere in their field that supposedly had a deadly effect on their crops. We looked around to no avail initially; nothing was present from our collective perception. If it helped us, we were offered a high grade of flayleaf if it meant we could get a better view. It would take time for the effects to set in, but as we set foot into the fields, we sure did find something! Some sort of "Treeblazer" appeared before... some of our eyes! It was huge, wings alone wider than most creatures we less experienced adventurers have seen. We ran right into the thick of combat, though not before a bit of prep in case of danger.

			Right away as the flayleaf settled in, I saw Quill take hit after hit from the creature's greataxe. Some of us seemed to grow more plant-like! In my case, it felt as though my hair turned into seaweed. At the earliest opportunity, I placed a little curse on the Treeblazer, and as much as I wanted to understand everything about it, gossip did not help in the slightest. When the Treeblazer acted out against many of us at once, I suddenly felt as though my life was extinguished more than four times over! Thanks to Melfyra, I felt a fresh air keep me alive in spite of what could only be described as a horrid rot worse than anything I've ever smelled. It was evident that we were in for a bad trip. Maybe it was the flayleaf? In light of the rot exuded by that tree blazer, several of us wisely kept our distance. Gathering my bearings, I acknowledged how Zeal and Melfyra were the best equipped to hold back the foul fiend and used my own abilities to support them from the sidelines - mostly to egg on Zeal's mighty blows since he stood right in its face.

			A few more good hits found their way on the Treeblazer, but it had another trick up its sleeve that more or less decimated a few of us, me included. Melfy kept me up once more. As I got up from a similarly dreadful disaster, I saw even more lights and the Treeblazer losing a lot of its strength. With newfound momentum, I continued to support our party by psychically egging on Zeal and replenishing Inari's state of mind with the last of my mental reserves. All of us - Zeal, Melfyra, Cyrus, Quill, Inari, Isgram, and myself - locked in and saw things through to the end!

			What a fight, if that's what that was... The Treeblazer had one last trick up its sleeve, only for it to go to waste. Zeal finished it off with grace, and we prevailed! I'm pretty sure we all felt exuberant in the end. Dudende showed up and did his thing, and we saw a field of beautiful flowers. T'was A fitting end to the mission, but it remains a personal mystery if any of what I wrote was real or if anyone else experienced the same things that I did. Broseph thanked us for felling (?) the Mary Jane monster, and that about wrapped it up. We each got a dose of strong flayleaf for our troubles, as well as a good amount of gold. While I remain on the fence as to whether it is safe to smoke flayleaf of such caliber, what matters in the end is our client's satisfaction, which at the moment we secured! Should anyone else acquire flayleaf, I would advise caution - especially if you begin to perceive things that you did not before.

Lily's earliest memory is of that of a lake. An isolated lake where she grew up. Inside the lake was safe, but the surroundings were full of monsters. She spent many years in fear of the outside world, while always wanting to go out; to explore.

She had always had the power to manipulate the water around her and in time, that power only grew. Eventually, she attracted the attention of a small water elemental. He decided to bond with her, having gained a fondness for the young Athamaru. He is the one who gave Lily her name as the lake she was from was covered in lily flowers. She in turn named him Bubbles.

After some coercing, and teaching about the outside world, Bubbles got her to finally leave her lake and head out into the world. Bubbles by her side to assist her on her adventures.

== Log ==
We began our expedition at the portal to the Old Country in Lancaster, and after arriving at the village in question, a guard flagged us down.
Upon getting an update about the current happenings of the battle, we learned that there were three fronts: one in the west, headed by an undead pirate army handling an incursion of daemons, another to the north defending the town from snow oni, and a third in the nearby forest to the east in which hired bandits were fending off snow oni as well.

We decided to split up to best suit our strengths and go where we were needed most; Houzen and Lilith aided the undead, Mahra helped injured troops get back on their feet before joining me in the north with the village guards, and Ken and Theo went to assist the bandits in the forest. We made rather good work of the enemy forces, and in time, they began to thin.

However, as the fight dragged on, a fourth attack became imminent as another group advanced upon the village from the south. Assured that the battle in the north was nearly handled, Egg and I headed over to help shore up our defenses against the encroaching attackers. While scouting, I saw swarms of cacodaemons flanking a massive, lumbering monster that spewed lava indiscriminately, razing all in its path. Trailing behind the massive creature and its tiny flying army was another being, though it did not engage in combat.

As the fighting cleared up elsewhere, the others joined me as we prepared to take on the last wave of enemies. The cacodaemons were swiftly dealt with, but the creature continued to lumber forward, moving past the guard with ease, despite taking a grievous hit from one of the pirates’ cannonballs. We made chase, hot on its trail as it threatened to wreak havoc on the rest of the village.

Aided by some of the guardsmen, we then banded together to take the creature down.
One such guard stood out to me—there was a fury in him I have only before seen in cornered beasts. He fought with such ferocity that, despite our foe seeming quite formidable at first, we were able to take it down with relative ease, though everyone’s efforts were commendable.

In the aftermath of the battle, we inspected the creature’s remains. Such a thing is far from my area of expertise, so I left the investigation to the more knowledgeable members of our group. From what I was told, it is both a construct and a daemon that has been modified in some way—an experimental weapon that is likely one of few. However, beyond that, we know very little of what this thing might be. My own knowledge lies among the creatures of the natural order, and this thing is certainly not one of them.

While searching through its remains for anything useful, I came up empty-handed, however, the others seemed to have found items of interest. Metal made from siccatite was among the most prominent, though there were not enough salvageable pieces to make anything significant.

While regaining our bearings, the daemon that had been trailing behind the mechanical creature advanced further, though we were soon to realize that we were not its targets—the fallen beast was.

It seemed uninterested in the battle itself or any of its participants—aside from the construct, that is. It inspected the remains before turning to me and asking a question in Tien, which Theo surmised to be it asking about what we did with the creature.

After I replied in common, it switched to speaking it as well, threatening to kill us if we didn’t answer its question about what had been the creature’s fatal weaknesses and caused its armor to crack.

As the daemon began to leave, Houzen inquired about whether or not it owned a horse, to which it replied that, yes, it does, but he was confusing it with something that it is not. It declared itself to be a herald—second in command to an apocalypse rider, not the rider themselves.

Soon after, it picked up the massive remains with ease, departing without another word.

In its wake, the rest of the battlefield had died down, all daemons and oni successfully repelled and the day won. Finally having the chance to settle, we relaxed and collected our payment, before making our way back to Onadbyr. All’s well that ends well, I suppose, though it’s plain to see that this is only the mark of something far greater.

We head out to break the siege on the New Heavenly Council. I entrust the shard of Gorum to Vara to attempt to cleanse it, as per Anei-Ra's suggestion. I remember seeing a large oni and daemon presence, as well as some knightly creatures on my previous visit. The miles and miles of battlefields are still just as ominous as they were when I saw them last. We try and fly into the pagoda from the top to infiltrate the siege, but watchmen from the council start shooting at us. Vara diffuses the situation and explains that we're here to help. I can't understand what they're saying, but I think it worked? Kali got separated from us. An important-looking Nephilim, I'm guessing a general, approaches us. There seems to be some tension between him and Vara. The general gives me a chance to cast translate on myself so I can join the conversation. His name is General Chenre, and he's Vara's brother. That and the fact that their father seems to have a high-ranking position here seems to be why Vara's so tense about this. After we find Kali and get a good look at the situation, we split up to start helping. I head to the medical area to help the wounded, while Kali and Vara head to the wall. Once I've gotten most of the wounded back in the fight, I go to assist the catapult teams by blessing their stones in Cayden Cailean's name. I then see a bunch of flaming tornadoes on the other side of the wall, from what I assume is Vara setting the sanctified booze these stones are launching on fire. After healing another group of injured, I hear a commotion as Kali casts Falling Stars, so I decide to join in with a falling stars of my own. When I get to the wall to cast it Vara's slicing a bunch of obscisidaemons to ribbons. When there's a lull in the fighting, I take a moment to check with Vara to see how the shard's doing, and it seems to like the fact that he was diving headfirst into the battle. We're on the right track. Chenre says we can expect Man Slayer to show up and try and claim a soul. They usually send a sacrifice to appease it, and we're confident that we can at least repel it. We're offered a comfy room to rest up before he shows up, the final resting place for the sacrifice they send out. A second siege breaks out, and as we get on the wall, we see it. Man Slayer says we're his prey, and request we show off our weapons and state their names. I hadn't really come up with a good name for mine since it's mainly for self defense. It doesn't take long before the fight starts. Kali isn't able to leave a dent on him, but Vara is. I have a theory as to why that is, so I try stabbing him. It's more effective than Kali's attacks. It looks like he's vulnerable to my connection to the shard of divinity and Vara's sword, there's much to research there. When Man Slayer hits me with his glaive, I can feel it searching for something. I'm not sure what, but I can tell it's looking for something that isn't there. I take a really nasty hit while trying to make sure Kali doesn't die, and I get knocked out. I wake up a bit later with everyone looking in rough shape, and I feel like I'm missing a part of myself, I can tell that last hit did something to my soul. Is this what it feels like to be afraid of death? Man Slayer offers to let us go if we offer up information, but didn't guarantee Vara's survival, saying he "still wanted a weapon". Man Slayer's looking shaky, and I can tell we're at the point where he's nearly at some sort of shift, so I try and heal Vara, and get knocked out again. When I'm awake again, Man Slayer's gone, and there's a roar of applause. Vara did it. The shard of Gorum seemed to revel in that fight, as we could visibly tell its corruption was gone. It's only logical that Vara holds onto it, since he earned this. The New Heavenly Council pays us in a generous ammount of gold, and gives us another runestone like the one Vara put on his sword after our expedition to the Glass Desert. Kali holds onto it to look into it more. This encounter taught us a lot, and I have no doubt we'll see Man Slayer again. We'll be more ready next time.

	Isgrams was the first of the three to volunteer. His opponent was an elven assassin equipped poison daggers. 	Briselle was second. Her opponent was a Dwarf magus using a pole arm to try and keep their opponent at a distance. It didn't work. 	Lastly, Thoedore walked forward and was put face to face against an orc warrior. Ingesting a quicksilver mutagen and preparing a goo grenade, the halfling charged at the orc with zeal. But misfortune would befall the alchemist when his pet rat on his shoulder would sneeze and cause him to loose focus and even worse, his grip. And finally was Radari, Lictor of the Order of the Scourge, arriving in a particularly theatrical display. Each order discuss their ideals and goals as well as where each could be located and how top sign up.

Myself and a bunch of other associates visited a lich by the name of Anei-Ra to do some research into the Gigas and a being known as the Oliphaunt of Jandelay at the request of a friendly Jotunborn by the name of Groth. I have compiled a summary of our findings here for public reference:

-Creation myths describe the earliest forms of mortal life created by Pharasma as the Titans, who forged the multiverse with quintessence. They eventually developed free will, and rebelled in an event known as the Titanomachy, which scholars make comparisons to being the first cataclysm as most of the titans were destroyed. The titans who survived were bound to the lower and upper planes, depending on if they supported the gods or not. The Gigas were formed from the bodies of the titans, purpose-built to carry divine might with no free will, but the gods still feared a theoretical Gigantomachy, so they were placed in an indefinite hibernation. The gigas created their own servitors, the giants, who were placed in their own planes. The inevitables and Axis Gigas were instrumental in stopping the titans' assault on Axis, and scholars suggest the Axis Gigas remain hidden underneath Axis until they're needed again. Cyrus is searching for a piece of an Axis Gigas.

-Jandelay is a realm within the Maelstrom, a remarkably stable paradise safe from the cataclysms. It's theorized that Jandelay is made of the same quintessence that makes up Axis. Monitors have confirmed that it is possible for a soul to be sent to Jandelay after being judged, but there are no recorded instances of this happening. The only way in through planar teleportation would be with a planar key, which Kali theorizes would need an object from Jandelay, or a piece of flesh from a creature of Jandelay. A mad wizard describes sightings of a creature they called a Watcher of Jandelay, a creature that collects fragments of doomed worlds, theorized to be similar to the Spawn of Yog-Sothoth that attacked the Upper Sacks a few years ago. It's theorized that if Jandelay is the most lawful location in the maelstrom, proteans would have as much of a hatred for it as they do Axis, and there has to be some sort of divinity keeping it safe. Could this be the Oliphaunt. It's unsure if the Oliphaunt exists or not, but it's said to be an avatar of destruction. Perhaps the watchers collect the pieces of the worlds the Oliphaunt is about to ruin?

-One of the first mortal souls to die after Rovagug's rampage was so filled with hate and rage it became the first daemon, known as the Oinodaemon or the Bound Prince. It created the first riders of the apocalypse, with only Charon standing to this day, as the others have been replaced many times, often due to infighting.

-The half-elf wizard Malrok experienced an assault on his tower by Aeons, including a Venator in a previous cycle. He performed research with Anei-Ra into the cataclysms and, quite notably, into the shards of divinity. I decide to ask Anei-Ra more about this, and we agree to do some experimentation on the shards we do have. This leads to me taking a quick trip to the Old Country to find the shard that we know nothing about, only to find a warzone that can potentially help us cleanse Gorum's shard of Trelmarixian's influence.
