So Desperate Hope's warden (guard captain I guess?) hired us to look into complaints about some old lady running a broom shop. I didn't really get why, but apparently a lotta people really hated working there or something! Anyway we made a master plan that involved the main group running distraction with Atticus needing to buy a broom and stuff, while I snuck in the back door to get a look at that back room! Plan went off without a hitch, and while the main room group talked about brooms and stuff (and edible soap?) I found a dwarf skeleton in a box! Also a dwarf-sized maid outfit, which I think is the one Odin ended up wearing to keep the ruse going. Oh right and the main group found a ritual circle covered in blood in the basement! Weird stuff!

So we drug the body back to the warden's office, and they seemed surprised we did that? Anyway we left the corpse there and let Victoria get back to their lunch, now with a warrant to break down this old lady's door and arrest her! We really tried too, but we ended up finding her as a hag in the basement with that bloody ritual circle! Her and the brooms tried to kill us, so we killed her first! It was a daring battle, with Atticus taking the brunt of the damage and setting up for an incredible cross-strike with Odin to defeat our primary foe. We arrested and confiscated the rest of the brooms, animated or otherwise, as well as the old lady's soap. We got to keep the edible soap, while Atticus took all the brooms back to the Hellknights. Good for them!

Also there was a broom with a leg bone for a handle, pretty sure that's from the dwarf skeleton. Forgot to mention the main group found that just sitting in the shop! Crazy stuff!
