The council wished for the party to follow the trail the rats have left and deal with whatever is causing them to behave in such a strange manner. The party was not required to transport any of the stolen food back as it is likely no longer safe to be consume. The party met up with Bill, a local drunk. The party interviewed him and learned of where this grain crumb trail was. He noted that the rats were very weird, seeing as they were not scared of any one and they were of a very large size.
