After a few days of travel we arrive at a fortress with hobgoblins manning the walls.
Tuli swims in and clears a blocking. Maki goes to join them and gets shot at. Tuli then tries to break the gate open and fails. And tries again. And fails. And tries a few more times. With the same luck.
We discuss starting a forest fire but I decide to try another shot at the gate with Maki’s crowbar. Kasumi turns my lower half into a fish. I wasn’t too thrilled about that but for the team I become a dwarf fish and am able to break the gate open.
We sneak in to a small arena and see a bugbear, a hobgoblin, and 2 wargs guarding a staircase. We jump the 10 feet down and attack. We all land super cool, except for V and Gwen who slip and fall on their butts.
Maki and Kasumi move like the wind to get in front of them and block the way out while we attack them. We kill them and Maki finds a nice jacket on one of them. Tuli leads the way up a ladder and peaks up to see a couple goblins and…a LEVER! So obviously he has to pull the lever. And it causes him to fall all the way down the ladder as the goblin people laugh.
Kasumi shoots fire on the enemy, and on Gwen’s undead friend Sera.
As the attack continues Gwen covers the floor in creepy hands and we slowly make our way further into the complex.
We chase the last bugbear down and he surrenders. He shows us a secret entrance to the boss. I invite him back to town. After he shows us how to disable the traps. Gwen wants us to murder him but I suggest we do not.
We take an elevator to the throne room. There are a lot of guys in there and they were prepared for us. How? We were so sneaky? The “King” asks us to come forward, I start to walk forward as Tuli tries to sneak up the stairs. They don’t like Tuli’s sneaking and attack.
Its a long fight and with the help of our friendly undead minions we are able to survive and kill them.
