We head downstairs, identifying multiple strains of Vampire Nettle and two swarms of rats. Each swarm still carries vials of blood with it for some reason. Heading into the crypt, more Vampire Nettle are found and disposed of. Behind a sarcophagus we find a tunnel in the wall. Entering in, we locate the Nosferatu. It stands in a dimly lit room red-lit and adorned with a ritualistic circle of coffins, a bowl of blood at its center. We face the vampire, slaying it with no notable issues. It disperses into rats we slay with swiftness. Investigate the room, confirming no other vampires in any present coffins. Heading outside once more, we find Dr. Seward being kidnapped. The kidnappers were a vampire-like non-undead and two large bat-like snake creatures. Sanaa identifies the non-vampire as a Velstrac. It specifically targets Sanaa for most of the fight. Tries to make her and others scream violently. All enemies defeated, no losses, Dr. Seward secured. He informs us they were kidnapping anyone with blood sensitivity. For his safety, this team has brought him and his supplies to Onadbyr. | Heading into the crypt, more Vampire Nettle are found and disposed of. Behind a sarcophagus we find a tunnel in the wall. Associates go to deal with a plant issue, encounter several somewhat related issues they're forced to solve.
Log
Beginning report: Objective: Investigate Doctor Seward's basement and deal with the plants barring him from his supplies. Arrive at the blood clinic. Meet with Dr. Seward. We learn from him that the plants are red and white, with an affinity for the chests full of blood vials. Mimi and Reiker believe it to be "Vampire Nettle". They typically grow in crypts and similar places inhabited or frequented by vampires. As to be expected, they feed off blood.
We head downstairs, identifying multiple strains of Vampire Nettle and two swarms of rats. Each swarm still carries vials of blood with it for some reason. Each creature falls with ease, with all blood vials secured. Basement investigated, Sanaa and Mimi theorize a Nosferatu would be controlling the rats, leading to them collecting blood vials. A hole is located, running to a nearby crypt. Blood vials collected, we return them to Dr. Seward. He sniffs them, identifying if they are tainted or not. "Blood sensitivity" he calls it, a keen sense for blood and its qualities. A very useful tool. We inform him of the nearby crypt issue and head over to deal with it. Aruwyn cleverly keeps blood vials on her, likely as an option to lure our hunt target.
