Kubo was born in the sewers underneath | Kubo was born in the sewers underneath Onadbyr and grew up with his family and community as was common with Ratfolk. However, after discovering he had a talent for magic he was able to become a student, although his interests were eventually drawn to the study of life and death, as he saw that as one of the more practical fields of study considering the state of the world. In particular, given that resurrection was such a difficult thing to pull off now he started looking for other means to achieve it. He became fixated on the idea that divine and occult magic were linked, given that they even shared certain spells and he believed he could find a way to blend the two. His research was considered a waste of time by the other academics and he was eventually expelled and ended up continuing his studies on his own. Thanks to his efforts he is now able to use a little divine magic in addition to occult magic, which is the first step towards his goal of combining the two. However, he has hit a roadblock in his research, not to mention running out of funds for living expenses so he decided it was time to venture out and put his current skills to use. | ||
