Lily's earliest memory is of that of a lake. An isolated lake where she grew up. Inside the lake was safe, but the surroundings were full of monsters. She spent many years in fear of the outside world, while always wanting to go out; to explore.
She had always had the power to manipulate the water around her and in time, that power only grew. Eventually, she attracted the attention of a small water elemental. He decided to bond with her, having gained a fondness for the young Athamaru. He is the one who gave Lily her name as the lake she was from was covered in lily flowers. She in turn named him Bubbles.
After some coercing, and teaching about the outside world, Bubbles got her to finally leave her lake and head out into the world. Bubbles by her side to assist her on her adventures.
