The town itself have a single surviving building, which is a smithy. The rest is tents and whatever else could be scavenged. The parties objective is to clear as much as they can, gather information, and rescue any survivors.
The party traveled back to Romack. Seeing as how only a single smithy in the town survived, and the rest is full of numerous tents. The party quickly entered the cave where the previous expeditions encountered Gnolls. The party pressed forward and immediately triggered a trap. The trap itself was magical in nature. The resulting battle was quite difficult, as the numerous gnolls attacked the party and were VERY accurate. The party successfully defeated them, clearing the first room. The party then tended their wounds, while Hiromi, Snicket, and Tesa dragged the corpses outside of the cave. After some time, the party regrouped and explored the cave system some more. They encountered the sleeping area for the gnolls. Then proceeded down another path and found a pack of gnolls mining. Luckily the mining sound, distracted most of the gnolls. As the party engaged what looked to be a spellcasting gnoll and another guard. The two gnolls were defeated, unfortunately Tesa did not survive the encounter. The party retrieved what they could, bringing the corpses outside, and Hiromi cremated the gnoll corpses. However upon doing so discovered their fiendish corruption, which would explain their strange behavior.

The first area is trapped with a magical alarm, and Tesa triggers it while going forward. What ensure's is a difficult battle with several gnoll warriors, and a hunter (bow user).

After defeating them, the group retreats to lick wound and disable the trap. Then goes on to explore more. The group finds a sleeping room, with nine bags, but knows that this is not a direct indication of amount.

Further down, The party finds a lightning pressure trap. Avoiding it, there is a cleric/of some sorts and a hunter. Tesa goes ahead, and tragically looses her unlife. The rest of the party manages to clean up the two enemies, then re-treat with Tesa's body.

In practicing burial rites,  Hiromi discovers that the gnolls in general are fiend worshippers to the point where it tainted thier souls, the gnoll mage in particular. This implies very close and intense contact of some sort.

Additional forces or expeditions are recommended to clear out, or attempt heavy diplomacy before rituals can be completed that transforms them completely.
