Likely this report'll get back t' the council many months later an' maybe I'll be dead or maybe I won't be, but... we be on the quest to hunt get Voml back.
Councilpeople be yippin' an' yappin' 'bout the core which was stuck in Voml's chest 'er chassis, spent too long bickering I say. But after they were done we got up an' ready for the trip ahead. Be three months, so they say. Three long months without seein' my brothers, but that be fine. Won't disappoint them.
After gettin' prepped for the journey ahead, and makin' our way out of town, we had a rather peaceful time goin' the lands. Least 'til yesterday when we came across some ugly beasties. Three-eyed, long grins, and ugly singin' to boot. Set an ambush on the other side of a river which most our group managed to cross before they sprung to action. Dealt with 'em quickly enough but... sometimes I forget why the others go on an' name Bright Eyes the "king". Man straight shouted one of the gribblies to death fer disrespectin' him. A good head, beard, and lungs... good traits to have for one.
Keepin' on we heard some screamin' around. Tried to tell 'em to die somewhere else but they ain't listenin'. Just responded with the same sounding screams. Turned out was more of the things whatsit no idea the name of 'em. Was ruffling about the bushes, one even brushed up against me. Couldn't see 'em though, but once I did I blew one o' their heads off. Stopped the death throes that did! Demonspawn managed to finish the last one as it beat the elgi's bird in. Luckily Bright Eyes was feelin' generous so he mended the bird back up.
Found a chest nearby with some ill-gotten gains from other explorers an' unfortunates. Not gettin' paid for this quest so might as well get all we can on the way.
