Log

I still don't get why we have to log things like going to help with a play or muck like that, or why I always have to write the logs. I think they're treating it like a joke, making the druid write on paper.

The trip was fun though, we went to this "Heroic Gambit" place since Chrysanthemum knew the way. Apparently they almost died here once, but still found it fun. The flower person's kinda weird, but she complimented my hat so she has good taste at least. Weirder is that Wrax actually knew this Rent lady we met with when we arrived. Guess he couldn't leave his old home behind for long. She told us the situation, that we needed to reenact the taking of the city from the fire elementals that once controlled it. Her and Wrax also discussed some sorta twist, but didn't let us in on the secret.

We did a lotta discussing on how to set the stage and what we'd fight, and eventually decided to have some houses, a big river, which is important to the story, and some immolator things for the first fight. We were supposed to get ran off by them as they burned the town, but we got a little too excited and destroyed all the dragon-looking things instead of running. Oops.

Oh yeah, there was also narration of the story before the fights! Lotus did a great job at it, I think he kept calling himself an anchor or something. Anyway, Wrax put on a good show and people loved it. Next we had to fight a filth fire, but some person running a leatherworks shop in Onadbyr sponsored a "romantic twist" so we decided the river spirit and the filth fire would fall in love. I was given a staff that would let me redirect the river a little at a time. Once it destroyed the fire, Rent would make it look like the river and the fire thing kissed and turned into steam.

Would've went fine, if not for a bunch of kids with buckets and squirt guns running out and saying they were gonna defend the town. Everyone else had to try and save them while we fought the nasty fire, but things worked out because nobody died and I was able to do the river thing. The kids mostly didn't wanna run, so the two outta three that didn't got held up by Wrax, who told the audience something about the kids being brave or something.

We got food and a place to sleep for the night. Everyone got plushies made of themselves. Mantella and I had similar looking plushies because they cheaped out and used the same height for both of us. This is why civilization is stupid.
