Log

After the events of the previous log, a distraught Illiam argues with the Pleroma and tries to determine why it did all of this. It speaks of being "Unwanted" "Lost" and other cryptic concepts when a name is almost forced out of it, and ultimately Illliam and Shadefrost's attempts to force the Pleroma to bring their friends back result in both of them being destroyed, though not without considerable effort on the Aeon's part. The fight revealed to them that its spells and orb creation were rather limited, and it had used most of its resources during the first fight. Before the battle a winged figure adorned in armor arrived on the scene, a Valkyrie come to petition for Serene. Tension was thick between her and the Pleroma, though the two seemed to have came to a wordless agreement. As such, she did not assist Illiam and Shadefrost in the battle that came soon after.

Meanwhile, in the other world, Serene, Satori, and Clam face the end. A Nosoi, a bird-like psychopomp wearing a leather face mask, speaks with them and tries to make their journey to the afterlife as comfortable as possible. Reception is mixed, and only becomes further muddied when Illiam and Shadefrost join them in preparing for the journey. They eventually are assigned a Shoki, a psychopomp that resembles an old man with a giant shell on his back, who escorts them through the ethereal plane. They travel further and further, beyond the elemental planes, past planes of pure energy and magic, until they finally wound up at the Boneyard.

In the Boneyard, they eventually met with a Yamaraj, one of the highest seats of ruling in the Boneyard. It is a Psychopomp resembling a dragon with bird-like features, namely feathers and a beak. The party's souls were apparently heavily contested, aside from Satori whose soul was fully claimed. Everyone had multiple options to choose from, and no sooner than they had made their choices did the Yamaraj have to call off the trial. The books had been altered, the party was no longer dead. They had never been dead, nor had any "Rogue Aeon" killed them. Cursing the Pleroma that had wasted its time when it is ever so busy, the Yamaraj assigns a Nosoi to watch over the party for if this Pleroma ever shows its face again. It also promises word will be sent to the council of Pleromas in the plane of Axis. If they do not handle this rogue aeon, the Yamaraj has a desire to help deal with it next time it shows its face. It then uses powerful magic to return them back to the place they had originally died, fully whole once more. The gifts the Aeon left them still present, but "Lost" nowhere to be seen.
