We encountered the keeper of the undead-infested graveyard overlooked by a church to Pharasma.

The trip to Lancaster was uneventful as usual. We stopped by the safe-house and then made our way through the warded sections of the city and arrived at the graveyard. There were plenty of undead already milling about. It looks like we have our work cut out for us here.

Even near the gate, things weren't safe. Almost as soon as we entered, skeletal hands began trying to emerge from the ground and grasp at our group, slowing us and causing some minor injuries. It was also rather unsettling. The first group of undead charged us as soon as we came near. Most of the undead were familiar, though there was one that was new to me at least: what appeared to be the skeletal remains of a harpy. The shriek of the creature not only threatened to shatter our eardrums, but it also alerted many of the undead deeper in the graveyard to our presence.

The newly risen dead came at us en masse, some attacking our front-lines and some managing to move past to hit those of us in the back. We manage to deal with the newcomers without too much issue, though some did have rather interesting abilities. As we've seen before, some of the enemies have the ability to briefly paralyze with their touch. Others were able to let out bursts of negative energy which rejuvenates the undead around them and causes the living harm. One of the undead seemed to be a former priest of sorts, possibly a follower of Pharasma? I was unable to confirm any religious iconography to confirm or deny their faith.

After a short time, something stirred in the ruins of the church and more undead rose. We began to move towards the church but were harried by more and more rising undead as we pushed forward. It was the keeper of the graveyard and her knight who were in the church. They were powerful, both undead. The keeper was a forsaken of Pharasma, intent in her undeath on being an existence counter to all of Pharasma's teachings. She claimed to have no intent in leaving her graveyard and no claim over the undead outside of its walls.

We were so close. We were nearly able to leave without incident, but Sade let his own temper loose and reignited the conflict by attacking one of the undead just before we left. He nearly got us killed. The keeper hit most of our group with a powerful spell before allowing us to leave, one I was unfamiliar with. I assume it was some sort of powerful necromantic spell, but that is far from my own specialty. If and when a group returns, they should come prepared to deal with a powerful caster and knight combination along with a number of undead summons.
