Log
Log penned by Swaying Petals
On the last log I wrote, I said I wasn't going back to the forest where King Graveknight now was, but after seeing the Round Table rally their forces to go take him out, I felt like I had to come with! Since I saw his transformation into a real Graveknight, I felt a little guilty for running. But I knew that I couldn’t help the more experienced associates much, but I met with Zeal, the Hellknight Lictor and Shadefrost who were leading armies of Hellknights to take them out head on! So I joined them and our three divisions marched through the woods. I named mine infantry squad Petals’ Platoon, Shadefrost named their cavalry unit the Abraxas Vaulters, while Zeal insisted each division were all called Godclaw Armigers. As Zeal led the formation and Shadefrost scouted, I sang a little marching tune to keep the Hellknight’s spirit up! They were not a very enthusiastic bunch, but at least Shadefrost supported me a bit by playing the drums! When we arrived at the battlefield, we faced off against 5 undead armies: 2 zombie hordes, 1 zombie cavalry, and 2 zombie archers. The zombies rushed forward and bludgeoned the Godclaw Armigers. My Platoon and the Abraxas Vaulters rained arrows on the undead and killed one of the shambing troops and the Godclaw Armigers finished off the other. But the zombie cavalry unit flanked around and led a devastating charge against my Platoon! We were already weakened by other attacks, and I could only watch as my army was routed! Oh my gosh! Regrettably, I ran for the hills as the Godclaw Armigers killed the zombie calvary and the Abraxas Vaulters charged at the archers who had been harassing us all battle, Unfortunately, their arrows were too much and both the Godclaw Armigers and the Abraxas Vaulters, and they were defeated by those gross undead too! But Zeal wasn’t going to give up, and he went on a one-man-army warpath through the undead forces and I could do nothing but watch in awe. Eventually, reinforcements came from the successful fight against King Graveknight and they cleaned up any undead still lurking around the field. I’m sad that I wasn’t really able to help out after all, but I guess I know I can rely on others to try to do jobs that are too big for me! Or at least that’s what I tell myself.
