Life Giver gathered together a group of Associates to investigate a missing persons case. A woman named Leela has gone missing while out shopping for groceries. Guards reported that she had not left the bounds of the city.
After bring briefed by Life Giver, we split into two groups to investigate the Trimarket. Anima, Arumi, and Life Giver made up one group while Hogo and I were the other. Hogo and I spoke with Chrysanthemum, who regularly provides emetic paste and other medical supplies to Leela's wife Patrice. She informed us that she had seen Leela on the day that she went missing in the company of Melfyra, another Associate of Onadbyr.
Hogo and I met back up with the others and they informed us that they had report of another sighting in which Leela wandered towards the south gate of the district with a dazed expression. Perhaps this is when Melfyra met with her? Our group decided to go try to speak with Melfyra, hoping that she would have further information on what might have happened to Leela.
Melfyra seemed somewhat strange. She was dressed far too lightly for the middle of winter and seemed to lie to us about the timing of when she met with Leela. After speaking with us for a few minutes, she suggested that we should go check over at the haunted house, where there was a chance that we would find further information on where Leela might have disappeared to. I saw sense in the suggestion and decided to go pursue that lead.
Just before we arrived at the haunted house, the others decided to go see Serene Leyvald, another powerful associate to accompany us and keep us safe while we investigated. Life Giver was claiming that we had been charmed by Melfyra.
We returned again to Melfyra's shop where Serene held her upstairs while we went to the basement to investigate. Downstairs we found several individuals who were naked, some lounging, several engaged in rather intimate activity. One figure approached and invited us to join the group. Leela seemed to be present and Life Giver and Arumi attempted to talk her into leaving the basement to return to her wife. Eventually Anima attacked and the group killed the woman.
It was a succubus. With Melfyra's apparent help, she lured five women into the basement of Melfyra's shop and put them under her thrall. We assume that Melfyra also somehow fell under her control. The women continued to be enthralled even after the death of the succubus. We were able to break Melfyra and the other women out of the thrall after a bit of time and care. We escorted Leela and the other women back to their homes.
