Associates investigate an abandoned mine and find more than expected.

Beginning Report: Objective: Investigate an abandoned mining structure. Mine is pre-Collapse, according to a traveling merchant. Iffy tip, but worth looking into.
Team gathers, heads to the mine without issue. 7 day trip, nothing of note. Location is moist, fungus growing outside. Several carts full of rocks, as well as Pyrite, a mineral often known colloquially as "Fools Gold" due to its resemblance to gold, with none of its usefulness. Team stares at mushrooms while Ser Bewwy and I investigate minecarts for quicker travel. Once the team is satisfied, we depart into the depths. I enter bipedal form to hold a torch due to the lack of lighting within the cavern structure. Mobility functionality is hindered by 12.5%, but combat functionality remains at 100%.
First encounter: Slurks. Person-sized frog-like creatures with tusks. Failed Dwarven(Hryngar?) experiments for labor and food animals, according to others on-site. Pets of spiders also present in caves. Despite Ser Bewwy's best efforts, the slurk will not assimilate or capitulate. We pacify it and deal with multiple spiders, but Arumi's exploding silverware storm alerts everything else within the cavern. More Slurks, an ogre spider, and a blindheim. The Blindheim erupts in blinding light, with even other cave creatures being at risk. Samara is blinded for an hour by this creature. Slurks deploy mucus and slime all about, but eventually fall. The spiders wear at us, but we fell them in time.
Investigating the mine, we find a hole running deeper. Further depths, minecart line running into the hole, presence of Slurks. Wiser minds conclude this might have been work of Hryngar in the past. Depths remain unsearched, but primary mine is cleared. Wide array of gems collected, nothing of special note. End of report.
