In the forests of the snowy north, there lived a boy, abandoned with no hope in sight. That was until a deer came by. The doe took pity on the boy and decided to raise him. She was swiftly killed by a pack of wolves who ate her up while the boy watched. The wolves then turned their attention to the boy and fortunately, they too took pity on the boy and decided to raise him as their own. The boy spent a few years with the wolves learning their ways. That is until a large and fierce mountain lion killed the wolves. She too would take pity on the boy and raise it as his own. Eventually the mountain lion too would teach the boy his ways until tragically he was ripped apart by a grizzly bear. Miraculously, the bear would take pity on the boy and raise him as her own. This one stuck.
The boy would grow into a teen learning from his bear mother. But she was no normal bear. She could in fact transform into a human, insisting that she was not actually a bear, but something called a "drudy". Luckily the boy knew better and had deduced that this was simply a ruse meant to test his loyalty. And never once did the boy falter. She taught him the language of the trees and how to defend himself against the beasts of the forest. Overtime the boy would grow and eventually he would no longer be just a forest boy, but a strong and true forest man.
The forest man would end up leaving to explore the great forests beyond, hoping to teach others of the joy of fighting animals, building muscle and talking to trees. He arrived at a nearby village and saw a building full of people dressed in pelts. When he entered the folks saw this man in nothing more than some buckskin leather pants and a wolf pelt draped over his shoulders. They asked him his name and the forest man said he wasn't sure what they meant by that. Shocked but amused they asked the forest man to go hunting with them. There he wrestled a bear to death and skinned it on the spot. Following that, the forest man demonstrated his knowledge of traps by creating a snare that trapped, killed, and skinned a creature all in one go. Amazed by his ingenuity, the hunters made him a raccoon-skinned cap and lovingly gave him the title Trapper.
Trapper stayed in the village for a few years until someone told him of the town of strange and diverse warriors known as Onadbyr. They especially mentioned the exploits of a giant frog who was said to be the greatest wrestler of all the land. Trapper immediately traveled there hoping that these "associates", will offer him a spot in their ranks. There he would do them proud and faced might beasts from forests all across the land. And maybe one day, he will face this legendary frog-barian in single combat. Until then he trains to be the greates forest man among all forests.
