I write with urgent news to the council; I might be a new associate but I have testimony of several experienced Associates and the basis for this report is to allow the best of us on an expedition into the Lushgarden Citadel.
One morning while I was in the Trimarket square I heard alarm bells to the south I went to investigate and upon arriving at the bridge I saw a group of guards blocking traffic toward the otherside of the bridge, I aided them in attempting to calm the citizens and traffic leaving the market a visible building had been destroyed on the otherside and while I was aiding the Militia in their duties and hearing amongst them a lack of parental duty to attend sporting events a second building was blasted by some kind of breath attack.
In the sky an associate took to the scene immediately and so I went further in to investigate it was there several of us converged to the current situation; A crab like entity crawled on the ground out of the Ripper until it was engulfed in flames and stood showing itself to be a Graveknight rust and barnacle cleared and ready to fight; the battle lasted twelve seconds the winged Associate Serene made quick work of it and the being made an effort to retreat into the ripper which was flowing into the citadel this was an act of clear self preserverence if it could leave the ripper and go in at any time which flows through the Citadel this warrants further investigation but there is still more evidence this should be the case.
Once the danger was gone associates got to their investigations; Kasumi Kali Seren Taru and myself were all present on scene. One of us noticed the grate toward the Citadel that keeps things in and out had been lifted five or so feet due to one of the chains being higher than it should evidence of wear and barnacles on them showing such. Further investigation revealed that the grate had been lifted or manipulated extremely slowly over many weeks perhaps even months just to get to this point as doing so any more would alert folk to what was happening be it by audio or visible means.
Upon the tampering being discovered on this side of the citadel we decided it would be prudent to investigate the other side, we split into two and did a full circle of the citadel district, meeting on the otherside and to the second grate leaving the citadel district; it was here an odd creature floated down stream wounded the corpse was retrived by Kali we agreed to investigate this creature further as it was exhibiting anti-magic properties.
I do not know the details of the investigation only that the brain of the creature was dissolved in a special solution donate by Taru which I can confirm the validity of its properties and I have such a sample of the solution also it allows a person to dissolve brain matter into a digestible means and experience a vision that the creature once had if the council wishes they may inspect my own dose which was granted to use by one of Miss Samara's oozes at the Love and Loss festival and to which this city owes a great debt for the early warning it has provided the council without this vital evidence I believe that this request would undoubitly be denied I will go into detail further of the vision granted
Kali says she saw several grave knights lifting the grates between the citadel a threat that cannot be ignored if one grave knight managed to slip into the city and destroy two building imagine what several more could do at both ends of the city attacking at once splitting the associates that can contend with these foes in half ; we must premetively strike and that is my request to you Council allow the best of us into the Citadel before this very real threat to the City is allowed to strike first.
