The round table has requested that a group of associates investigate overhunting in the area outside of Onadbyr
Log
A few miles out of town, a band of associates was required to look into recent reports of overhunting. The group, consisting of Berta, Terog, Sssst, V, Mantella, and myself, began by searching for tracks left by hunters to some manner of success. Following a game trail, we came upon a camp attended to by three men around a campfire. They were either unable or unwilling to share words with our group as we attempted to strike up conversation. While continuing to try and communicate with the group, Terog stepped into a bear trap, grievously injuring him. When attempting to treat his wounds, the occupants of the camp began throwing Alchemist's fire at us. This must have signaled others waiting, and within seconds we found ourselves overwhelmed by a whole host of human prepared for battle. Having cut off our retreat and outnumbering us three to one, our party clashed with their number. Slowly but surely, our force whittled away at their numbers while keeping ourselves healthy through generous healing and protective arbor. Just when the tide had finally looked like it had turned to our favor, mounted reinforcements arrived and surrounded us, forcing our surrender. After laying down our arms, which we only drew in the first place after bombs were thrown at us, at long last someone who shared a language brokered peace with us. They stated that the ordeal was a misunderstanding, and after a show of good faith, an exchange of coin, and safe passage back to the city we returned having instilled the better part of knowledge onto this band of mercenaries. -Kasumi
