Hark the wereroc is brought down with style and severe injuries.

Travelling west into the mountains, the journey was cold. I lent my cloak to Damian. We were discovered on our approach and had many small objects, including bombs, dropped on us. Serene charged forward and was quickly overwhelmed by flocks of birds on all sides as well as the roc itself and arrowfire, I made use of her Crown of the Fire Eater to heal her slightly but it was Kali and Damian who saved her life when Hark shifted his attention to them. I thinned out the flocks, but a were-eagle sharpshooter easily penetrated my armour, and in the sparse vegetation, flew around any cover I sheltered behind. Dar's medical aid was instrumental.
Damian was our last front-line combatant standing, and Kali used a spell to bind Hark to the ground, he laid bare the roc's defences for a revived Serene to strike him down from behind. In the meantime, Maki brawled with another sharpshooter, which at least kept that one occupied.
Hark's followers remained loyal to him even after his death and fought to the end. They mentioned an item in the ruined temple they were searching for. We located what may have been the item, a divine artifact sacred to Gozreh, as well as a number of other items related to air magic, and a piece of equipment for shapeshifters. As a follower of Gozreh, Dar received the fan. I took some 'lightning bolts' for use in expeditions, while Kali took one to reverse-engineer.
With this, we have completed the tasks Maera set for us.
