Log
A neatly torn page from the financial logs of Takmono.
I feel I have settled into the town nicely after attending sefural social events I took it upon myself to indulge in a real paying job. I quickly met up with my compawtriots outside of the city; Rynexra a cavern elf, Patton a beastkin Ophelia - another elf - who had a phantasmal friend, Vilegen a Tengu with purrty crimson plumage and a gun-toting handywoman called Iza we met with a gnome named Cherry who hurried us to the Centpurry Ooze fur its lesson in Pawfare.
Upon getting to a clearing in the furroest we came pawcross a large yellow ooze - We would soon come to learn that it would adjust to our tactics and teach the oozes it spawned various tactics to better suit combat with us.
Furst Round: Four Red Oozes - These were immediately dispatched easily and it was here that the General learned about greater numpurrs - I called out to fight some gray oozes and it responded in kind.
Second Round: Three Gray Ooozelets - Upon being tactically deployed away from our pawsition by the General these slimes immediately started to bombard us with magical missles with targets chosen presumably at random upon, they also employed spells to invoke fear and illusions - Upon witnessing us divide and conquer a slime one at a time, these gray slimes started to employ similar tactics, focusing upon poor Patton with a full barrage of missles. A quick soothing heal from me and the gray slimes were dispatched, I suggested we might ready some attacks and teach the general the importance of ambush, but instead we simply called for more slimes.
Round Three: Red and Green oozes, four of each - This is where the general employed greater numbers in its repertoire of tricks. It is here that I found out the red ones can attack at range by spitting at targets, and the green oozes employed some defensive techniques able to harden themselves like stone. Half way through this round, the red slimes were able to react to various things in melee combat to counterattack and to hide among the pools of slime of their fallen comrades - They managed to get some hits here due to the greater numbers and new tactics employed, but we were still rathfur fresh and called for another batch to be summoned.
Round Four: Six or Eight Yellow Oozes I don't quite remempurr. - It seemed like the century ooze was going on the defensive as it summoned a wall of yellow slimes on the surface of the water. Not many of them survived the first barrage of attacks, boomerangs, and blasting winds, but the ones that did survive managed to attach to people and start to drain them of their life force and bleed them dry - Iza and Vilegen required healing during this round.
Round Five: Bonus Red Ooze Totem - six red oozes stacked on top of one another - Quickly dispatched by various area damage, Iza just wanted to show off to the red ooze that her reactions were better and they could not counter-attack her - She was learning and adapting like they were and I do not think the Centpurry Ooze liked this given the following round.
Round Six: Six Purple Oozes - It gave us all a gift! The gift of purple ooze! These unassuming creatures did not seem like much, and it looked like we were all going toe-to-toe with our own foe at furst until they quickly started to employ flanking and ambush tactics. Our ranks were quickly decimated, and we started to cofur each others backs to prevent the flanking to some success, but the damage had been done. Ophelia got struck by a near-fatal blow. Patton too was struck down, and I believe I was also struck, but not before watching the remaining foes pop into useless ooze and the General seeming satisfied with its lesson.
Licking our wounds, it spat a coin purse at us, and despite feeling rather worse for wear - Platinum tends to heal all wounds eventually.
