‘Sup. Name’s Quan. I’ll be writing your log today so you better hold on fucking tight. We went out and got a buncha shit for Isabella. I think she makes stuff with it all? I'm new here, I don't really pay attention to what's going on.
My first expedition from Onadbyr. For those of you who don’t know me, I have no memories older than about a week or so, so I wasn’t sure what I could contribute to the group. But as soon as we were “ambushed” by the worst predator elemental looking things I’ve ever seen I felt a fighting instinct take hold. I killed one of them with my bare hands. I felt like a god. Not as strong as Serendine, obviously, but pretty damn good. Serendine is my goddess, by the way. People better stop fucking asking me who she is cause it’s extremely obvious to anyone with a heart that I’m the only one good enough for her. Anyway, Odin smashed another elemental gremlin looking thing with a crushing blow, but I think he might’ve broken his pickaxe cause he ate shit trying to use it to arrest a fall not long after. Vara finished off the last one and we reached Wrigley’s.
After a nice chat with a surprisingly small dragon (are all dragons that small? I can’t remember), we got 5 cool scales from Wrigley the All-Powerful in exchange for a ball, revealing a rock to be a geode, some horn, and a piece of chalk. Also did Wrigley a favor by blocking Dwy and Cass from sight since they were too colorful and apparently just hideous in his eyes. We had Odin and Patton do the grunt work of cleaning the rock pile.
Visited Parmi’s home in a nasty wet cave. Fought some incredibly stealthy bugs, fortunately everyone else was able to see them just fine except for Dwy, who appears to be the only elf I know who can’t see in the dark. Not that I know many elves. Patton provided an assist to Dwy vis a vis light. I smashed a bug and felt a high like no other. I think I might’ve been built for incredible violence. Vara scored a kill against another one, then pointed out the incredibly stealthy third bug for everyone’s benefit, not just mine. Cass provided some magical hype to Odin. I don’t really know how this magic shit works, I thought there would be more books and gestures. Odin killed the last bug.
Parmi’s a very sweet bat lady. She heated up her pool so we could all enjoy a hot spring, made us some dope mud tea, and we all just hung out for a while. Odin and I were arguing about whether or not alcohol interferes with your gains (it clearly fucking does, the dwarf just doesn’t care). Parmi asked us if we can say hi to her cousin some time, some bat back in town. Eventually we got the vines we needed and we left. Parmi invited us back, but I had to let her down gently by telling her that her cave seems like a place that new associates visit once and then quickly grow past. You never step into the same river twice, after all. The past is a receding shadow, and we must all march into the future towards our inevitable death. See ya around Parmi!
We went to the mushroom caves. Pretty much immediately ran into a couple of boars and some freaky mushroom thing. Odin ran ahead, as I’m getting the sense he does a lot, and almost got gored for his troubles. I ran in to provide an assist and killed the boar that struck him WITH MY BARE HANDS (and a roundhouse kick). Another boar moved in to attack me, and Odin threw it off balance with a well-timed strike as it moved past him. Game recognize game, we had our differences earlier but it was a solid assist. Odin struck that boar down pretty quick after. Vara put in some work with the freaky mushroom thing, before I tore it in half. I took out this dope red cape because Cass said it was magic, but I think it just pissed off the last boar cause next thing I know I was waking up from Patton’s healing with a couple fresh holes in my chest. Still, I got to see the face of an incredibly beautiful woman while I was unconscious. I think she might’ve been Serendine. Anyway I think Vara killed the last boar? I almost died, cut me some slack. I think I’ll leave the magic to the pros like Cass from now on.
We got to pick mushrooms for a while and chat. Found some dope red mushrooms that make you permanently one inch taller (can’t get the effects of more than one) and blue mushrooms that do the opposite. I asked people what their purpose in life is. Maybe the mushrooms had an effect on more than my size.
Got back to Onadbyr after about a week’s travel. Pretty good work everyone, I’ll be training and gaining if anyone needs me.
