We get hired to track down something called a Kulu Ya-Ku. Melfyra's told me about these creatures, they're big ovivorous birds who can pick up rocks and use them as a tool. Phyll tells us that his uncle Ricter is going to be out there to study the creature once we're done with it, and he tells us not to damage it too much when we kill it. Another creature that hasn't been studied very much has also been sighted nearby, so we might end up fighting something else, too. We get to the cave, and find an abandoned campsite. The Kulu is also there too, and this is my first time getting into a fight! Two owlbears show up as the Kulu is charging at us, but fortunately, they're more interested in the Kulu then they are with us! This must be their nest. Sanaa threw a durian bomb at the kulu, and from the way it was gagging at it, it seemed to like how it smelled! So much so, that it ignored the egg it was carrying and dropped it. The egg landed in the brush though, so it was safe. The Kulu steps on Barbell as it starts attacking an owlbear. Omen didn't react at all, the poor thing. One of the owlbears screeches really loud. The rest of us didn't seem too scared, but Omen ran away, into a nearby shelter. Isn't he one of those hellknights I heard so much about? I would've thought a member of an order known for their bravery would stay and fight. After a few seconds, he comes out of the shelter and tells Barbell to go down the well. It clearly doesn't want to do that. Omen starts charging up a big attack as Barbell falls down the well. That doesn't look like a fall it's going to get back up from, I do hope it had insurance like LG does. KOD eventually manages to take down the Kulu, fortunately without doing unnecessary damage to the corpse. Omen fires his big attack down the well after realizing the Kulu's dead. Sanaa and I use some chemicals to oil up the corpse to make it easier to move. The owlbears take their eggs and leave us alone as we meet Ricter and receive our payment. I make sure that LG gets his dues, and learn that Omen doesn't even pay Barbell.
