Coitessezin's Report to the Round Table:

The assigned party is asked to retrieve an elven child from the Old Bently Manor-house, a haunted house than re-ignites every full. The guard informs us that the house used to be owned by the "Bentlies" but knows little else. Outside of the fact that the group need to be out by 4 AM, or the party would be lost forever. The guard does inform us that the child went in through the front, so the party follows. Hiromi, Bright Eyes, and Tesa begin searching, and Cozin looks out for threats. Tesa notes that this must be a very powerful haunt. Hiromi knows that lesser spirits will be attracted by the powerful haunt.

The party splits into duo's to search the first floor, Cozin + Hiromi, then Tesa + Bright eyes. the initial search brings up nothing, and the group re-convinces. Going together now, the group enters a dining room, where a flickerwhisp ghost attacks and nearly kills Cozin. After that, the group sticks together and moves to the right.

Investigating the kitchen, Bright eyes takes some cheese, and that causes some beings to attack. A severed head, a flaming head, and two more ghost beings. this ends up being a hard fought battle, with several party members almost going down, but the group prevails. The party takes some time to re-asses, and notes the time as 1Am. The Cozin accidentally knocks over a porcelain jar, which alerts the child in the basement. The child calls out for help, but warns about a creature in the basement, and not to wake it up.

The party goes downstairs, and investigates several doors. They find out all the doors are trapped with sound makers essentially, and that makes an undead behind one very angry. They find the girl behind a door, and make a plan. They stack up several benches, blockading the door with the undead. Cozin grabs the girl, Bright eyes and Tesa aim to harass the creature, and Haromi with defensive spells.

The plan goes awry immeditly, with the creature much stronger than was anticipated, being an Attic Whisper. The girl is brought to the stairs, but Bright eyes is taken down, and Tesa nearly as well. With a bit of luck, Cozin hands off the girl to Haromi and manages to grab Bright Eyes, and the party manages to escape. The undead does not seem able (or willing) to leave the property.
