Berta, Liminal, Orion, Sahona, Edel, and Sutton show up for the mission. I’m Berta. Sheeri was supposed to show up. Good thing for her she didn’t. The letter from Alice seemed hurried. Not her usual penmanship.
It takes us 3 days to get there.3 days there. When we show up we look for fairies.
We find no fairies. Or an Alice.
In the lab is a human woman slumped over a desk.
Liminal and Sutton make hot chocolate while the rest of us actually do our job and look around.
We check out the basement. There is a gurgling sound calling for “Alice.”
Looks like the creature is dripping from Caroline’s room. The magic people do their magic stuff and determine that its an aberration. Whatever that means.
A gross mass oozes out of a dark pit and attacks us when we go into the basement. Then another.
Edel gets confused by their magic.
Sutton gets swallowed by a nasty ooze thing but busts her way out.
We kill the monsters but Sutton starts bleeding and we all try to stop the bleeding. Its not going well but eventually we stop the bleeding.
Alice no longer hears the creepy things calling for her.
We decide to go into the dream world…again…to deal with the dream problems. We assume its based on the book about a handsome stranger who came and left on a horse.
Liminal, being the handsome person that they are decide to try to take the part of the handsome stranger but unfortunately we all still look the same as our normal selves in the dream world.
We speak to some party goers and the queen hasn’t been seen in awhile. Hasn’t been seen at the balls.
Princess Penny is the one who everyone wants to dance with
I see a familiar face of Lyra. They are working and passing drinks and seem surprised that we made it here.
Orion pulls me over and tells us that all the people in the party are actually just disguised undead. I guess Orion would be an expert on undead.
Liminal and Sutton put on a great show and distract everyone.
Going in further we see the princess sitting on her throne while everyone dances.
Orion and I go to talk to the Princess. It seems like she wants to dance but says she can’t. She is waiting for the right person. Her mother, the queen, isn't here because her other child is quite time consuming.
Sutton dances with someone who looks like the dashing stranger. Its Rin. Liminal moves in to make their move on the Princess, but Rin attacks and summons a bunch of shadows.
Edel runs up behind the throne and the princess slashes at her knocking her unconscious. Orion runs up and heals her.
Shadows get ripped away from most of us, but eventually we manage to take down the big shadow, Rin, half the shadows disappear.
Rewards: 2 resilience runes, Wand of Shadow Spy (Rank 3) and 750 gold.
