The associates were tasked with defending the gate of the Laybarons from whatever strange thing was out in the woods. The party first encountered a group of refugees, led by a changeling pretending to be a former council member. The party negotiated with them, and let the refugees into the town. The party then grew suspicious, and learned that the leader was fake, and that they were being followed. Then a small band of fey attacked the wall. The party drove most of them off, killing two pugwampi. The party was paid minorly for their services and received several magical trinkets from the changeling.
