Of all the places to spend most of the time on a job, why did it have to be a boat? I thought that I could handle spending time at sea, surrounded by running water, where I could fall in and start drowning at any moment, but maybe a 30 day trip was a bit much for me to immediately jump into. Anyways, there was this explorer named Iowa Jackson who wanted us to collect the rare and powerful magics kept in the burial ground of a magus named Uzax. I'd heard of this guy before, he's a legend in many elvish writings. He infused himself with some sort of powerful being, possibly draconic or fiendish, and was skilled in channeling the elements, even through elementals. A curious use of magic indeed. The island itself was cloaked in a thick fog, and it wasn't long before he stood before us - Uzax the Ultimate, conjuring a sizable storm that electrified the very air itself. Weirdly enough, he looked more alive than I expected. He had a burial ground, why was he alive? Anyways, he also summoned a bunch of elementals, one of them engulfed myself and Sahona. It was terrifying, but we were able to get out with little problems. The elementals had more fantastical abilities than I initially expected, as not only were they performing spellstrikes like the writings had said, but they didn't get dispelled when Pomba dragged Uzax below the depths, becoming Pomba the Ultimate in the process. He gave some sort of monologue, so we hadn't seen the last of him, but that was the least of our worries at the time, for one of the elementals caused an eruption which tore right through our boat, almost completely destroying it. It wasn't quite in an unusable state, Kali was able to patch it up just enough to get us to shore, but we definitely weren't using that to return home. The island has what we think are craters, but Sahona points out that they're actually footprints from the local fauna. We follow them, and come across a temple in the shape of a giant head, right as a herd of brontosauruses stampede in our direction. They were the most majestic and beautiful creatures I'd ever seen, sure Sahona can turn into one, but watching a fellow druid wildshape into one is different from seeing one in the wild. It doesn't take long before we see what was causing them to stampede - Uzax the Unlimited. He's taken the form of some sort of other dinosaur that has a miniature sun between its horns and can fire lasers? It's unnatural, it looks more like something from one of Lictor Zeal's bestiaries. It doesn't take long before he goes down, and Pomba becomes Pomba the Ultimate Unlimited. After that, we head into the temple itself. It's not that big on the inside, just a simple path leading towards a treasure room with Uzax's spear and a ring he was wearing sitting on a pedestal, along with a ton of other treasures - notably nothing that looks like a coffin, urn, or other place of rest. We could tell that taking the ring was going to release some sort of magic, so we prepare ourselves as Kali takes the ring, and the temple starts shaking and rising from the ground. We make our escape, and I had to jump out to make sure I get clear, and we all see that the temple has turned into some sort of massive golem, it had to be 50 feet tall - Uzax Prime. It's not too big for Pomba to wrestle, and despite its laser eyes and the fact that debris was constantly falling from it, and it picked me up and threw me on the ground, we eventually defeat it, and Pomba becomes Pomba Prime the Unlimited Ultimate. It looks like Uzax had managed to merge with the island itself, perhaps the being he made a deal with was a really powerful elemental? Either way, we teleport out. The scrolls Iowa Jackson hired us to collect were scrolls of sure strike, a spell that's already very widely available amongst the mages of the city. We couldn't figure out how he'd merged with the island, and perhaps we never will.
