Right, I haven't been on very many jobs before, and it looks like we're supposed to write something about what happened? Cool, I can do that. I was on my way back from having a few drinks at the Blue Sky tavern, you know, supporting small businesses and all that, when some old guy ran past, and a guard was shouting for people to catch him. I didn't know what was going on, but I figured a run would be a good way to sober up, so why the hell not? I gave chase, with a pair of blue tie- er, hellspawn keeping pace with me. I forgot that the norms around using that term changed a few years ago. The guard hopped on the back of this centaur lady, and, I thought I saw that dwarven king, Bright-Eyed or something following behind. We chased the old man for a bit, dispersing a crowd, breaking down a gate, and getting past some farm animals before eventually catching up to him in a nearby street. The centaur lady caught up to him, he exploded into a cloud of poison and a caoco damon? I don't know how to spell that. Either way, the nasty little thing didn't last too long, one of the hellspawn blew it up, and it apparently replaced the old man's heart, and there were bug eggs in him. It was pretty gross. Bright-Eyed put them in vials, and the hellspawn that blew up the meatball creature took them to some druid or something. I didn't catch anyone's names after that, there was a lot happening. Oh yeah, apparently one of the hellspawn encountered another old man at the library who asked about an incident with fiends on an island to the south? He said he came in here with a visitor and asked how strong the associates were. Pretty suspicious, but we know where he lives. It doesn't sound like a bad idea to check out his place, I'll probably write something else on that later. Oh yeah, the guy we were chasing also blew up the provisions, so we don't have to feel bad about killing him.
