Log
The party made it to the catacombs, opened the stone slab, and went inside. Bees noticed the room had been disturbed with the nameplates of each coffin having been shifted. Terog, Orion, and Kasumi went around opening the other coffins to find a paper flower and a pendant with the four holy symbols of Thassilon on each of them; the Cup, Sword, Staff, and Pentacle.
Terog enters first followed by an outward burst of intense heat. It seems the other side is intensely hot. Kasumi jumps in after followed by the rest of the party. On the other side a town is burning with meteors falling from the sky, several burning desiccated undead are moving around with faces twisted in agony. A burning creature crawls its way out of the pit in front of us - the presumed Runelord. We, while constantly taking fire damage, hail him and offer to extinguish him and the rest of the town. He doesn't take kindly to our offer and attacks. The only sign of where we might be able to find refuge is a... sign, a street sign with a Fist pointing left, Crown pointing bottom left, paper south-east, and a Cross pointing north.
Terog hugs the presumed runelord, attempting to solve the issue with kindness, the party outside continues to melt to the fire. Bees and Cees investigate the crown while Vitriol goes for the cross. Bees and Cees enter the burning building and find a figure with glowing red eyes and a central rune on her chest surrounded by 3 scorched children remains. With some pleading from Bees and redirection from V we manage to get her to look at her kids, her face goes from a smile to horror and she grabs them in an embrace. We enter a vision and after an explosion blows outward, dissipating the heat and allowing a cold breeze to fly through. The three children and the Runelord freeze up again no longer moving. The last bit of skin fades away as the central rune falls to the ground.
