Associates dive directly into the fire, seeking to thin the cavalcade's herd before it gets to Onadbyr.
Log
So there's this big fire elemental horde approaching Onadbyr, apparently. They're burning everything down, so of course us druids (and Carrion) have to do what we can. Our job is to put a dent in those big forces and try to scatter them, learn what we can, all that fun stuff. Along the way we reached the edge of the cavalcade's line, encountering a couple of Ifrits burning down a forest. As we attacked them, a "Marrmora", a burning tree fey Melfyra apparently fought before, also attacked us. Looks like it turned off Carrion's resistance to fire? Wild, didn't know stuff could just do that. One Ifrit went after Melfyra's elk real hard (Oh she has an elk now by the way) but Sheeri kept it alive with some weird snow leopard ability that protected people. We took them out though, and I used the remaining 10 minutes on my freezing rain spell to try and stop some of the forest fire while we patched ourselves up.
Getting to the actual intended village, it was already super burned down. Big burning rock in the middle though, seems like those Lerritan things can just make those and throw them whenever and wherever. We ended up fighting some fire giants, a fire dog thing with several legs that really likes spitting on you, a bunch of soot soldiers, and some living wildfires. Seems like the fire giants are little commanders of forces or something. We killed all that stuff though, then we got the heck outta there. So for other people hunting the cavalcade, take out those fire giants first I guess? They speak a language none of us knew, probably that fire elemental language. So study up I guess?
