Huntmaster Kjac has come into town with the recent caravan with grave news. An area to the northwest has been known to contain a powerful but dormant ley line for some time - a powerful conduit of magic. Recently the ley line has awoken, with its chaotic elemental energies spewing out into the surrounding ecosystem. He has hired us to track the beasts and learn any information we can that will help a future team to defeat it.
We all gather and wait for Huntmaster Kjac to come and explain the mission for us. There are 3 large beasts he wants tracked. He asks us to gather in groups of 5. At first I went to the porcupine table, but that one seems very popular so I left. Guess I’m hunting beaver.
I met Vik and Zaya there. They seem alright. Illiam then shows up and we decide to head out with just 4 of us, but as we head out Arina comes running up and apologizing for being late.
As we head into the forest we immediately get lost and find our way to some sort of cave under an old waterfall. Illiam says we can’t fit in there because we are too big. That bitch. I climb in just to prove to them that I can. Inside is some weird hard flowers so I have illiam toss me a jar from some holes in the cave surface and I get a sample and we head out again.
Soon we hear a noise and see a large shape running away as a large tree rolls our way. Vik and I expertly jump out of the way of the log. THis Vik has potential. The others get hit by the long, Arina gets hit very hard, but I think they will survive.
After tending to the wounded we follow the trail and end up in a place with geysers spouting some strange bluish liquid. Then we receive a message via a bird that tells us to return back as soon as possible. Apparently one of the other teams suffered a casualty.
As we discuss leaving, we scare a bunny into the geyser (on accident I swear) and it starts to float away gently. Arina and Illiam examines the geysers more and Arina determines that they leave some sort of magical feather fall effect on anything that touches them.
We then decide its time to go home but Arina is so tired she asks to ride the bird home, which is absolutley rediculous. She is small but not that small. Then she asks Illiam if she can ride them which becomes a huge embarrassing conversation that ends with Arina getting a piggy back from Illiam on the way home.
With this knowledge we return home and recieve our pay of 40 gold each.
