Karma
What is Karma?
Karma is a meta currency that is rewarded for doing work above and beyond attending or hosting Expeditions. Karma can be redeemed for perks as a small "thank you" for your work in keeping the game a well-oiled machine. Karma will never be used to gain a personal mechanical advantage and can't be traded for in-world items, boons, or anything similar. Karma also can't be gifted or traded except with explicit Storyteller approval, but it can be used collaboratively for certain rewards marked with an asterisk (*).
Gaining Karma
Expedition Logs and Character Pages
Karma can be earned by completing Expedition Logs or creating a wiki page for your character. Once complete, send the link to the page in the #psychic-link channel of the Discord and ping (@) the GM that ran the session (for Expedition Logs) or your favorite GM (for creating a character page).
Experience Points (XP)
You may choose to trade Experience Points for Karma. This can be done at a rate of 500 XP per 1 Karma and is redeemed through a Ticket. You cannot de-level your character this way except with explicit Storyteller permission.
Server Boosting
Individuals who boost the Discord server receive 1 Karma per boost per month. To receive this Karma at the start of the month, post a screenshot of your boost count in #bot-logs in the Discord server so a GM can add it to your bank.
On PC, this can be done either by going to Settings --> Server Boost, or by clicking the name of the server and going to Server Boost.
On mobile, you can click on the name of the server, click the Boost icon, then click the Settings icon, or you can go to Settings --> Server Boost.

Karma can be gained by anyone who does work to keep the server running smoothly. Whether it's conducting interviews, approving characters, updating the Associates page, or creating a wiki page for your favorite Hellknight order, you may be entitled to compensation! If you want to do or think you've done work worthy of a Karma (or three), open a 'Storyteller-only' ticket to make a request. Karma is awarded at Storyteller discretion.
Purchasing Items with Karma
To redeem a shop please purchase your desired perk using the /shop command in the #bot-stuff channel of the Discord, then submit a Ticket to notify the Firekeepers.

Items marked with an asterisk (*) can be bought using Karma from multiple players.
- ↑ Please inform the Storyteller well in advance if you're intending on using this pass, so no one is felt cheated out of their spot. Storyteller discretion on honoring the pass if not enough warning is given.
- ↑ Extra characters earn their own experience and gold. Your characters cannot trade gold, spells, items, or equipment between each other without approval.
