We got to meet some goblins today! (though it could've gone better). Some associates and I were asked to apprehend a gang of goblins who had robbed the local smithy. They had made off with quite the haul (weapons and armor!) Due to the nature of their loot we knew ahead of time they were well armed. Finding them was simple enough; They had holed up in a small village with their ill-gotten gains (So cute!) Wrax attempted to parlay with them in their common tongue while we watched on anxiously! Unfortunately, they didn't seem very interested in working out our differences nicely. They said they were going to kill us, and that simply wouldn't due seeing as we were all keen on continuing to live! Once the negotiations were over battle commenced (and a hard fought battle at that!) We put the little gobbos to sleep in short order nonetheless. Catching our breath we overheard more talking in the house where the loot appeared to be stashed. There was mention of a "big boss" by a mysterious third party who seemed quite displeased with the gang's performance. While we were unable to apprehend the mysterious puppeteer we busted down the door to face the gang's leaders! The ensuing fight... didn't go great. In the course of battle my new friend Explosylva sadly perished. (V has sketched a broken heart in the margin here) Several others (including my dear Vitriol!) nearly succumbed to the wounds. Nonetheless we were in the end victorious (at a bitter cost) and were able to reclaim the stolen loot. Still, some questions remain unanswered... namely the identity of the elusive 'boss' orchestrating these crimes. For now though we are left to mourn...
