Appearance

Moz is a short and stout dwarf with a curly beard and mustache. His usual armor includes a bronze breastplate, overalls, and a rusty kettle helmet. Alfredo is an eerie ectoplasmic echo of his former self, which was a lanky and tall dwarf. He wears overalls and a kettle helmet to match his brother. He can also shapeshift his limbs to the form of weapons, such as a hammer. Together, they are known as the Fratelli brothers and they don't often leave each other's side. Especially now that Alfredo became a phantom eidolon.

Background

Moz and Alfredo Fratelli were twin brothers who grew up in Desperate Hope. Moz is on the short and stout end of dwarfs, while Alfredo is surprisingly lanky for a dwarf. They were always side by side, supporting each other in good and bad times. When trouble came around, Moz bravely faced it head on while Alfredo approached things more fearfully, though his hair-brain schemes sometimes were the exact thing to turn things around. After they lost their parents, Moz started a plumbing business. Alfredo wanted to be a scholar, but he gave up that dream to support Moz. The guilt from his weighs heavy on Moz, but he needed Alfredo’s help to run the business. As more and more disasters struck the world, Moz wanted to go out and make a difference, but lacking skill and direction, he did what small things he could while continuing to work with Alfredo.

But one day, an incident happened when Moz got word that a major overhaul was being done on a castle he worked on before by a dragonblood minotaur named Busiate who was retrofitting the pipes to handle a dangerous substance. Moz was infuriated, citing the potential risk to the community, but mainly because it undercut his business. He and Alfredo also entered the property to mitigate or undo any damage Moz thought Busiate would cause. Busiate and Moz had an altercation and they soon competed to see who was the better plumber to finish this project first, undoing each other’s work along the way. The substance they were piping was ectoplasm, and as the substance flowed through as Busiate and Moz adjusted valves and messed with the plumbing, more and more strain was put on the system. Then as Moz was wrenching a new u-bend to the pipes, the nearby ectoplasm main pipe ruptured. Alfredo, wary of this competition from the start, saw this disaster coming and in an attempt to save Moz’s life, he pushed Moz out of the way. Alfredo was completely submerged in ectoplasm and his body was melted away into the ethereal sludge.

When Alfredo sacrificed himself to save Moz, Alfredo died, well, not completely. Alfredo is now a lost soul, but somehow through his undying devotion to his brother, he remains in the mortal world. Alfredo now is an green-ish ectoplasmic echo of his former self, soul bound to his brother, but with such changes he and Moz found they had new powers. Moz swore to somehow return Alfredo to life and get his body back. To do so, they need expertise and money, and the best way to gain that is to become an associate of Onadbyr’s Round Table. Moz started training to become a champion of Torag and wearing rusty red armor so he can keep up with his brother in combat. Moz may not be that great at casting spells, but isn’t completely reliant on his brother for defense. Now they seek to do as they’ve always done: work together to overcome whatever is in their way. Whether they’ll make it or die horribly, they’ll always be together.

Personality

Moz is cheerful, encouraging, and headstrong. He is also rather prideful at times and isn’t afraid to get into a fight. He is now a champion of Torag and tries to take his edicts seriously.

Alfredo tends to be more meek and fearful when it comes to dangerous situations. Alfredo tries to think of clever ways to get out of a situation where Moz would be stuck trying to handle it head-on. He may not be assertive or really want to stick around danger, but when it comes down to it, he is someone you can count on.
