Associates investigate a riddles posed on stone tablet recently discovered within the city.

Log

I'm sure you're as excited to read this as I am writing this!! This was a real doozey of a mission, really making some of the finest associates I've met scratch our heads. You can't keep us down though. It all started when Onadbyr's finest met in the council chamber, Terog, Pomba, Melfyra, Orion, and ME of course!! We were handed a riddle recently discovered in an abandoned house. The riddle, and all riddles that we'll encounter were verses of a larger poem that I attached to this report. ANYWAY it wasn't just the riddle we discovered, we learned the initials of its writer! LE, don't read the poem yet or you'll spoil yourself on who this is. ANYWAY We split up to learn more of this "LE," Orion and Melfyra went to the library to hit some books, coincidently I'm not allowed in a library for some book hitting...just kidding, I'm banned because I'm too loud, so instead the rest of us went to investigate where the tablet was found. I assumed the disguise of a construction worker and gave proper cover for Terog and Pomba to investigate that the house did in fact used to belong to LE!! We still didn't know who LE was, and Orion and Melfyra didn't find out either. We had to move on!

Following the poem, we ended up at Pettyport to check out the coast and water and birds and fish and people with fishes. Some of the people had great big fish trophies on them, Orion said you could beat them up to earn a trophy. Pomba stepped up to the challenge because he was hiding a dark secret from everyone! Pomba. was....THE GRIPPLI GRAPPLER!!! He challenged the toughest looking trophy holder to a brawl, and defeated the large orc handily! He now had a trophy and me and Orion made some SERIOUS bank on some bets we made on Pomba!!! Eventually we made our way to the water, where a pesky kobold took a dive! Pomba and Melfyra tried to chase after, but Pomba found it hard to swim without his hat! I fished them out though, no worries! Orion used some super powerful magic to allow us to breathe in water, which is just crazy. I couldn't ruin my outfit (You'll see why later,) so I stayed behind while the others searched the murky waters and found another tablet! This one needed deciphering, but we're one smart group! It led us to next destination.

An arched bridge was out destination, and dancing was our mission. I'm something of a dancer, so with some encouragement of my allies and a crowd of fans we were able to locate the tablet upon the Laybarons bridge. This tablet led us to a graveyard in Trimarket. Very quickly we found the next inscription upon a tombstone, and, clever as ever, we deciphered that part of the poem too. We didn't have far to travel to find the next clue at the Trimarket Gardens. It seemed most appropriate to look at the oldest tree in the garden. Pomba had a stroke of genius, thinking to dig beneath the tree. Sure enough, THE NEXT TABLET WAS THERE!! This one, once deciphered, led us all the way across the city to the most magical spot in the whole city: THE MARKMUSE THEATER.

My heart was fluttering as we made our way there, I had attended the odd performance there and had always wanted to perform on that stage. I was so giddy that I forgot I was still dressed as a construction worker!! I stopped at home while the others went to investigate so I could change and reapply my makeup. When I finally arrived, the group had already began the search, but I knew just like the dancing, we'd have to put on a show to really reveal the meaning of the tablet. So I mustered all my courage to request and impromptu show! The nice lady in the box office heard our earnest plea and opened the door to the public!! I put on a wild show while the others found and deciphered the tablet, I must have done such a good job they had extra time to join the audience and cheer me on. It meant so much to me!!!

After the show, the next location was in the old tunnels beneath the city. Did you know a whole camp of rattfolk live down there? I had no idea!! Most kept to themselves, but Orion left such a good impression on some of the camp's children that they chatted and we all learned so much! We found the next tablet too, and Orion could read it from so far away (he is a powerful spellcaster afterall.) More importantly, the children of the camp were really interested in watching the sky as it turned to night! They were allowed by their parents to watch it with Orion under our supervision and it was just the cutest most adorable wholesome heart throbbing event ever!! By the time the sun set though, it was time for the kiddos to go home, and we still had a puzzle to solve.

In an undeveloped part of Little Monarch, a large statue laid crumbled and sunken into the ground. At it's base was the tell tale sign of what would be the last tablet. Uncovering it revealed the poem in full and a full name for the Author. They also must have buried a cache, maybe like a time capsule of sorts for us to discover along with the poem! It had so many neat things inside. Honestly, the whole thing had so much love and heart and care and art built into this little game of following clues and solving riddles. Maybe one day I'll make my own puzzle for curious and adventurous people to follow like this Lyric Emberheart.

From Onadbyr's Hushed Harbor, whispers arose,

An adventurer-poet arrived where harbor wind blows.

Over the Arched Tranquil Bridge, they strode,

To the graveyard's whispers, where tales were bestowed.

Through the Whispering Graveyard, shadows conversed,

The poet explored, where memories dispersed.

In the Verdant Grove, 'neath ancient boughs,

Nature's verses unfolded, in whispered vows.

To the Velvet Curtained Theater, where emotions unfold,

On life's grand stage, and sagas yet untold.

Through the Underground Hub, where echoes reside,

The adventurer's ballad, through tunnels wide.

The grand sentinel watched from the hill so high,

As the poet-adventurer reached for the sky.

In Onadbyr's heart, where lanterns gleam,

The housing district's vibrant dream.

Through mazes of glass and cobblestone,

In forgotten halls where knowledge is sown,

Beneath the clockwork's rhythmic chime,

The adventurer's words endure, transcending time.

In every verse, a piece of the wanderer's soul,

A tapestry of stories, a lifetime's goal.

Onadbyr thrives, cultures blend,

The adventurer's legacy, beyond life's end.
