Session Etiquette

Pathfinder 2 is a cooperative game. Kelek aims to keep sessions enjoyable for all our players. Players are expected to follow these guidelines:

Respect the GM

1.1 When the GM speaks, listen.
  • All Kelek GMs are volunteers who spend a lot of time and effort preparing and running sessions. Be respectful of them and allow them to guide the sessions they have prepared without having to fight to be heard.
1.2 Don't argue GM rulings.
  • If you disagree with a ruling given in a session, that is fine. However, do not stop a session to argue your point. Resolve unsettled issues during break or after session.
1.3 Minimize out of character chatter in voice chat during sessions.
  • If you have something that is not session relevant to share, please do not interrupt your GM or other Associates. This is rude and can interrupt session momentum or a person's line of thought.
  • If you feel the need to share or comment, please use #psychic-link or session chat to give your input in text.
1.4 Have a reason for your character to cooperate.
  • Characters come in all types of personality. However, it is your job to create a character that will be invested in whatever happens during session.
  • Players are allowed to play as evil PCs, but the decisions made by those PCs should not be divisive enough that they negatively affect other players or the city as a whole.

Respect your fellow Associates

2.1 Share the session spotlight.
  • Each player and character deserves their chance to shine.
  • Instead of thinking about how to claim the spotlight or glory for yourself, think about how you can allow other characters to thrive. When everyone has this mentality, RP can thrive and each player and character is enabled to feel special.
2.2 Don't speak over other players.
  • It's the responsibility of every player to allow each voice to be heard. If someone else is speaking, help them to be heard.
2.3 Allow others to play their characters.
  • You do not control the actions of other players or characters. If a conflict between players and/or characters comes up, this can be brought to the attention of the session's GM.
2.4 Use "Yes, and" thinking.
  • Allow things to go where the group wishes them to go rather than where you think it should go. Accept the actions and words of other players and build off of them.
2.5 If you are told no by a fellow player, accept it and continue on.
  • Consent is non-negotiable. If an issue with consent comes up, open a ticket with the storytellers and we will handle it.
