So we got hired by an old associate to check out this weird mountain really far away. Apparently the sun just didn't shine there correctly? Anyway we had to go catch a bird first, a Solar Ibis. I studied the one Kasumi had while we traveled to figure out the signs of them, since that'd obviously help us find one later. Not very fast on the ground, but they fly pretty quick! About as fast as those people with the dragon wing tattoos can fly. Oh right, they also apparently have a shard of Atreia (The Lambent King) inside them? Weird, I thought shards turned into robots around here. Apparently in the Old Country they turn into birds.
So we found some and needed to put a necklace on one to mind control it or something, dunno why fox lady had something like that, I wasn't really listening to the explanation. We gave it to the wild tiefling, and scouted out the area. Three Solar Ibis, three "War Birds" that had this weird cry. Didn't really effect anyone, but I think it could confuse people if it did actually bother them? Luckily nobody here was weak-willed or anything. Anyway wild tiefling got the necklace on the bird and we beat up the mean ones, then had to hurry to the mountain since the necklace only worked for like, a day.
Went through a big burrow tunnel that was made using fire, kinda concerning but we didn't know what could make that at the time. Anyway we got to the top of the mountain or something and the mountain looked like a bite got taken out of it or something, it was real close to a full eclipse. We had to apparently sacrifice this bird we captured in the name of The Lambent King to get their attention back on the mountain? Victoria said they knew some stuff about that, an argument started over them being a Zon-Kuthon worshipper or uh, "side worshipper", however that works, I dunno I didn't really care that much. But uh, we had Victoria sacrifice the bird and things got even darker when a couple of wolves showed up. One was on fire, the other looked pretty icy. The fire dog ate Cyrus's light.
So we ended up fighting the dogs, and in the middle of the fight some Remorhaz showed up? They're the fire burrowers apparently, and one of them ate Victoria! Oh and before that, the dogs kept exploding in fire and ice, it was really painful. The Remorhaz also didn't seem to like the dogs either? They were just here to eat something I guess. Anyway we had to kill the big bug-dragon-fire-looking thing and free Victoria, then deal with the exploding wolves. They were wolves by the way, not dogs. Once we killed the dogs the sky went completely dark, then the sun came back. Problem solved? Nobody died, except the bird I guess. And the dogs, and the Remorhaz.
