The Duke of Compassion, or DOC for short, is an old Automaton medic from before the latest Collapse. He was built using the Restoration Core, which held a shard of divinity from Sarenrae. The R.Core was made to channel Sarenrae's divine power over the healing domain, and it did its job quite well. DOC was made to be a battle medic, being sent to many battle zones to keep the soldiers on his side alive and well. He was not sent to these battles alone, however. Sent along with him was a Human Inventor by the name of Rebbeca Stork, the woman who had created the Restoration Core and DOC. She made sure that he and the R.Core operated at top efficiency, and made sure that DOC was alright mentally. The two of them became very close friends and allies. It was thanks to her that he grew to love life, and the act of preserving it. For a time, life was good for DOC. But then, it happened. The Collapse. DOC doesn't remember much of what happened, only chaos, ruin, and soon after, nothing. The next time he had awoken it was to an alert. The Lord of Carnage has awoken. DOC soon learned that he had been offline for nearly half a decade, and the world had changed a great deal. It was odd for DOC, to be living in a world to similar but at the same time so different from the one he remembered. Now he lives in a ruin of a city called Onadbyr. Doing as he was made to do, heal those that needed healing. Only this time, without his dearest friend.
