Dearest reader, do forgive me if my hand seems sluggish on the page. I am recovering from an unexpected bout of petrification. A large team of associates (including myself and Vitriol) was dispatched to an abandoned mine to clear it off dangerous elements. Until recently said mine had been filled with a poisonous gas. The fog was lifted I'm told by a group of creatures using it as a base of operations for their burgeoning banditry business (better than poisonous gas I suppose!) There was indication that the mine could still be rich in the necessary ore to produce cold iron (valuable indeed I'm told!) Through no small effort we dispatched of skeletal hounds and their undead master, Icy mephits and a frozen serpent, a beautiful fleshy mound, and a den of cockatrices! (quite the gang!) Though Kagari and I were nearly confined to a stony fate, we got better! And the mission was a success!
