Timid Thistle, a.k.a. T, is a powerful gnoll with tawny fur, brown spots, and long white hair atop her head. She is an Associate of the Round Table. At a mere 6 feet and 6 inches, she stands shorter than most other women in her clan. Growing up, T was often overshadowed by her older sister Serpent, who would later lead a hunting party due to her knack for dirty and effective tactics. With limited leadership opportunity and no skill for witchery, Timid Thistle pursued a new niche - becoming literate and absorbing knowledge of the men and beasts that would pose a threat to the clan.

Timid Thistle found an inner strength through study of her world, and soon after reaching maturity, she told her family and clan council that she was no man. Reactions to this were mixed - while her sister and mother embraced this change, some leaders feared her nature would severely limit her abilities as a hunter and believed she would better fit at home. Determined to prove herself, T joined her sister's party and tried to put forth a veneer of overconfidence. This had a degree of success, and despite her name she became a galvanizing force in her party.

Years later, T's clan would be torn apart by undead and plague while she was away on a hunt. Her father heroically took up arms against the scourge before falling, and her mother soon after fell ill and passed away. Hidden Thistle posthumously earned the name "Dauntless" for his deeds, though few remained to celebrate his naming. In the grief of being unable to eat of her progenitors' flesh in reverence, Timid Thistle carved a small ivory snake woven among a flowering bud from one of few bones that had not been rotted or burnt in a pyre. She carries this with her as a symbol of her clan's power and culture, now reduced to a fractured handful of kholo, roaming across Kelek with no homeland.

As time marched on and the rest of her clan settled within high walls, or sought solitude, or met a bitter end, Timid Thistle faced the need for shelter. She would never again have her clan, but after wandering into Onadbyr bleeding and limping, there was no safety to be found outside the city again.
