We go to Pettyport to deal with the puzzlemaster. A ship disappeared the other day. I try saying 5 words with 5 letters to summon him, it turns out that was a lie. I no longer have to avoid words with 5 letters. It seems like I've built up more of a resistance to alcohol, because I can't get drunk enough to muster up the courage to step into the water. There's a boat out in the middle of the water. The water's calm at least, but it's scary enough that I have a hard time getting to it. We get out to the site where the ship disappeared. Callie swims into some dark water and very quickly sinks. This is why I stay away from the ocean. We chase after her, because we can't just let one of our own drown. We fall in and hear an ominous voice, that must be the bastard who's caused us so many problems. There's a weird spinning board with a naval battle going on. I fall right in the middle of the ocean. It's terrifying. There's cannon fire everywhere, I need to get onto a ship. I quickly make my way to a small ship nearby. A captain's hat materializes on top of the hat I'm already wearing. It looks ridiculous. Getting my bearings, I see that Sutton and Mantella take a pretty nasty shot. They can't take much more. They try and take evasive maneuvers and immediately run into a mine. I hear another explosion as the ship Callie's on immediately gets hit. She seems fine. I see that Orion's on a bigger ship that's unprotected. My ship has what look like smokescreens on it. I can set that up near him to obscure his position. I don't see a cannon on board. Callie tries spinning her ship. That's a good trick, until it isn't. Callie sinks right after. We still haven't hit a single one of their ships. Sutton found a submarine that's placing mines near us. Mantella pilots a ship and moves next to it. I find the cannon on my ship. I start firing in a wide volley to get information. I hit something, and Callie hits one of their ship, and then moves into the area the ship she was on before was. Surely they wouldn't fire on that area again, right? They volley upon us and discover mine and Orion's locations. I get out of there as Callie raises the submarine. Mantella sets fire to the water? I'm not gonna question how that works. There's a massive explosion right where I just was. I sure am glad I'm not over there. Orion takes a hit though. His ship goes down soon after. Shame, it was sailing pretty well too. He goes after the submarine captain. Callie keeps using the strategy of hiding in the spot where she got hit last. It seems to work. I decide to try that out. Mantella's sailing awfully close to the edge of the ocean. He does know this battlefield is flat, right? Callie actually sails off the edge of the world. She somehow manages to tether her ship to the edge of the world using earthbind. This is both the smartest and dumbest strategy I've ever seen, but by Cayden Cailean's flagon, it worked. She tells us the location of the enemy ships by messaging Sutton. They don't stand a chance at this point. There's another really big explosion at a point where I was just sailing. Good thing I wasn't there anymore. I had a chance to end things, but I hit the spot where the big bomb missed me to taunt them. They sink me in response. It was worth it. The Puzzlemaster's mad as hell. He breaks the board, and we wake up in Pettyport, the ship restored.
