The party ventured back to the mines. To save time, they used Feather Fall and Talismans to reach the bottom of the mine. Making sure to rest outside the grove. After awaking, they ventured back to the Grove's village and managed to meet some more Kodama's. Specifically the Broken one, a Kodama who is barely holding together, and a Kodama known as the Strong One who had a number of cords on him. The Strong One told us that they will die, and also we will too. Not thinking to much on the bright side. Sadly the Wise One couldn't join us, as they were busy with a ritual of some kind. Getting the info on a nearby Stone Defender, the party ventured through the grove to find it. Along the way they were attacked by a very very angry spirit, who was Timid Thistle's nemesis!? After defeating said nemesis, it vowed to return.
The party continued to travel with the aide of their helpful Shikigami to where the Stone Defender lies. We encountered a number of Ogres performing acts which will NOT be mentioned here. Regardless we had to act. while fighting, one of which used a divine boon from the Ogres goddess Lady Nanbyo to strike Satori. After combat, Hiromi healed a dying Dryad, and Sade ended a creature that was turned into a container with it's body while still alive. They then returned back to the village and were told about several new options on how to proceed helping them:
- Save another defender (more ogre killing)
- Give proper burial to the desecrated Queen (appeasing spirits- summoning nature)
- Recover the lost Fireflys (vehicles for travel across The Grove)
- Help restore the Broken Kodama so they can resume rituals
