We went out to the swamp that some other associates fought a catoblepas at to check out reports of creatures moving around. When we got there, we ran into some frog-like creatures, a few feet bigger than the Grippli that I have met as an associate. They started attacking us, so we retaliated. As Iza thought of the idea of sneaking up on them beforehand, I had cast a silence spell on myself to better sneak up on them, only for us to end up being spotted anyways. This led to a situation where I was only fighting one of these frogs, as a bunch of attacks flew my way. Fortunately, the spellcaster among them created a cloud of mist that I was able to take advantage of in this fight, a clear error on their part. I took some pretty nasty wounds in this fight, however I was ultimately able to prevail over my foe in our duel, as the rest of the group cleaned up the rest of the frogs. A shameful performance on my part. If I had not cast silence on myself beforehand, I would have been able to provide more support to my allies, and patch up my own wounds. I have noted this, and no longer plan on using that spell. Fortunately, we made sure to spare the spellcaster so we could interrogate him. None of the other frogs we fought made it out of this battle alive, Petal grew trees over their bodies. As we interrogated the spellcaster, we found out that these frogs were demon worshipers who were gathering tributes for their queen. After much deliberation, we came to the consensus that we should go to their village to investigate. They did not seem that bad despite the fact that they were demon worshipers, but to be as safe about this as possible, we brokered an agreement with them. The queen of the frogs, a horrible abomination with purple skin, wings, and many eyes, wanted to expand the swamp. Petal volunteered to help with this, and we agreed that we would leave them alone as long as they did not encroach on the Onadbyr's territory. Iza was also very insistent on being payed for this, too. All in all, we succeeded in keeping back a horde of demon worshipers. A successful expedition indeed.
