Serene Leyvald, one of the Associates of the Round Table, is a young battleblooded human woman with proteankin influences that manifest as vestigial wings, mismatched eyes, shimmering hair, multicolored skin, and a penchant for causing trouble. She stands around six feet tall and carries an even taller polearm, but remains surprisingly agile.

Serene came to Onadbyr when she was 19, along with her younger brother Cyrus and her father, Sam. She's never in the same place for long, but can be found most frequently at Elro Custom Leatherworks bothering Cyrus and hanging out with Illiam Elro, at Grandmother's House helping out or training in the yard, or at the home she shares with her family.

Serene isn't shy about her disdain for and aversion to the occult, especially anything demonic in nature, but she doesn't let that get between herself and other Associates.

She is extremely protective of her family, especially Cyrus, as well as those she considers friends. It's never difficult to tell what she's thinking, and she tends to act on impulse, though is (inwardly) respectful of her teammates' ideas and opinions. Serene thrives in situations where she can show off her physical strength and exert her will over opponents. She's fully martial, preferring to leave any and all spellcasting to her brother, though she will use magic items as long as she doesn't have to cast the spells herself.

Skills

Serene is a melee fighter who uses her swashbuckler archetype, Lunge feat, and reach weapon to put pressure on as much of the battlefield as she can. She specializes in demoralizing the enemies and taking advantage of their fear with feats like Antagonize, Shatter Defenses, and Fearsome Brute. She's Legendary in Intimidation, Acrobatics, and Athletics, and her background grants her access to Warfare lore. While Trained in Crafting and Medicine, those skills are better left to other Associates. She's particularly adept at fighting in the air, having permanent Soaring Wings and the Winged Warrior archetype.
