Mission Log

The party was informed that the warehouse had lots of smuggled goods, odd grain with metal. A separate party had gone down to the basement, found it was larger than reported and very cold below, and retreated.

The party went down, leaving a rope and pitons after it turned into a 50 angle slope. Going down, the natural cave eventually came out to a mined hole and smooth walls, a small tunnel with ice over it, a 25ft drop. The party decided to leave more rope behind just in case, hammering a piton into the firm ground.

The noise attracts something, who makes a big vibration in return. This causes some kind of faint mental effect, causing Vreal to blink rapidly, have a twitchy face. This fades after the sounds stop.

Going down and ahead, The area cools down even further to near freezing. A small hallway leading to a door. Opening the door, Which has (in celestial) "Woman of Winter,  bring Mother Mammoth to Flow". A blast of air that was cold enough to set the temperature to "severe cold" once the door was opened. In addition, the room has several statues that are clearly animated, as well as some mephits. All of them attack. During the battle, the vibrations were more present, and the entire party noticed the effect (which was mental), but no mechanical effects occurred as of yet.

They are defeated, and the party retreats to rest outside the main room. While attempting to heal, Cozin notices that the ice golems are regenerating, and so takes them out. Not taking the time to rest, the party goes to the top door.

Inside is a heavily misted area, making visibility poor, 20ish feet. Inside are heavily pooled area's with ledalusca, mirror reflections. They attempt to grab at whoever enters the pools, holding them to copy them physically (and somewhat spirituality). They are very curious, but mostly harmless. However there were also ice mephits in the room, who could see through the mist and attacked the party.

Tinker and Fen got caught in the pools and decided to let it happen, forming copies. It happened to Zokun as well, but he decided to kill his.

Following this, the party returned, and Vreal realized that saying the words deactivated the guards. This let the party move to the right door, which was a narrow hallway. At the end the party spotted Melty or what looked like her (complete with flame whips), and she cackled and fled. In the room  were several bodies that had been experimented on, lots of notes (Which are copies of the original notes from the doctor from Onadbyr Cult Investigation), as well as a glowing green rock of decent size.

Rot rock are the green gems, can be found from the sky or deep underground. It is almost very shiny and bright, they are increasingly cursed, Rotting the body very quickly.

The bodies explode into blood oozes, which were mot an easy fight but went down. The party then decided to leave, gathering the notes and informing the round council.

Important details about the dungeon.

  1. The area is under the "severe" cold weather condition. Bring warm clothing if possible.
  2. The statue guards in the main room need to be read the phrase "Woman in Winter, bring Mother Mammoth to flow." Otherwise they will attack, and regenerate. It can be said in common.
  3. There is only 1 door in the north room, of which emaniated extreme cold. Potentially very dangerous.
  4. Blood oozes attack things with blood only, and they were hidden in bodies.
  5. There are copies of Fen and Vreal in there, they have proven to be harmless thus far and have assisted in combat. They will share some sensory information and possibly basic memories, but the copy will not be exact.
