We visit Lancaster's library, gaining invaluable knowledge and protecting the books from creatures who would corrupt the knowledge contained within.

Finally, an expedition was able to be organized to visit the shuttered library in Lancaster! Even Cyrus seemed excited for this expedition, though he hid it in his usual manner.
When we entered the library, we were met by a pair of akizendri- abominable proteans whose purpose for existence seems to be corrupting knowledge. The akizendri indicated that they had only managed to corrupt the books in the entryway. Their attempts to go deeper had been rebuffed by the "librarians".
Past the entryway, an animated dinosaur skeleton stands trapped in the foyer. Clam eventually makes his way past the skeleton before we saw one of the books hit him in the back of the head, no source in sight. I assume this was the work of the librarians that the akizendri had mentioned. The "librarians" eventually revealed themselves to be poltergeists. The creatures attacked in conjunction with the skeleton. Dealing with the undead infestation was frustrating, but we eventually managed to clear the building out.
Searching the library, we were able to find quite a few incredible finds! Numerous scrolls and wands and even a rare book collection. Cyrus and I claimed most of the books and scrolls, while the others claimed some of the other, including quite a few valuable items that we were able to sell for a bit of profit. Overall, one of the most successful expeditions that I've been on. If another mission involving a library comes up, please let me know so I can join it as well.
