We took a very last-minute job for the council. Some brutish folk were having territorial issues with land octopodes (possibly bogwids?). Apparently people wouldn't be too sad if either of those groups were eliminated. I don't like that idea. We also hear of a lizard monster of the same type as Stupid that was causing problems for a nearby village, and a school teacher named General Ed was willing to pay us if we brought the corpse over. Berta's riding lizard picked up a really big tree branch. I suppose he wanted to play with it. We start by looking for the bogwids, and find 3 of them laying in the mud. As we approach, they seem aggressive. Something screams directly into our brains. The bogwids are smelly. It reminds me of the experience in Cincinnati. I keep my distance. The big one had pincers on the ends of its tentacles. A fascinating adaptation to let it grab things from a distance and at the same time also having the suction capabilities of the tentacles. They go down with few issues. Stupid and his dwarvish friend have larvae attached to them. Stupid breathes fire to get rid of them. After we take some time to treat everyone's wounds, we go to meet the ogres. We decide to have the treasurer of Desperate Hope try speaking with them. I don't think they particularly liked what she had to say, as they started getting aggressive. From Jovial's translation, she said "You guys are bein' a bunch of bitches, so why don't ya stop?" or something like that. They go down with little difficulty. We went to the village to deal with the big lizard next. There were a couple of shephards who were arguing over if it was a big lizard like Stupid or a dragon, but they can agree that it has been eating their sheeps. Vara and Jovial hide in some bushes, I get on top of a building to get a good view of the situation, and the treasurer of Desperate Hope disguises herself as a member of the herd. I thought the disguise was perfect, but some people said she looked more like a grandma. The creature approaches. It definitely seemed more dragon-like in my opinion. I'd never seen a dragon up to that point, but I was wondering how they tasted when my "condition" developed. I get a taste of some of the dragon's red. I see a vision of Onadbyr in disrepair with all of the strongest associates gathered to stop a threat, but Zeal, Kali, Serene, and Victoria's mentor are nowhere to be seen. It tasted exceptional, but the side effects were horrifying. Does this happen with all types of dragon? I get knocked out by the dragon's breath weapon. When I come to, Jovial's ripped some meat off it and is experiencing the same vision I had. We then find out that this dragon is an Omen dragon. Perhaps other dragons don't do this when ingested? I hope I get a chance to find out someday. The villagers give us a magick item that creates flowers and a cart to bring the dragon to General Ed. He touched the corpse and I got a bizarre feeling. Some of us including me pass out for a bit, and when we come to, Stupid, Ed, and a few other people were out cold, and the dragon disappeared. We wake up Ed and he's confused. He had no idea what was happening, and detect magick doesn't give up any results. Jovial and Vara look around, and find that the path we took got replaced with forest that's too heavily wooded to get a cart through. They suspect it's similar to the job when they went to find some missing associates, but my former familiar touched one of them and they got transported to a different but similar area. Perhaps we somehow crossed realities or timelines? We go back to the council, and they tell us that there was no mention of the dragon job. The treasurer of Desperate Hope also notices that the item that creates flowers that we got from the villagers also disapeared. We ask around to see if the four strongest associates did not dissapear with the dragon, and they're still here. I should send them letters to let them know what we saw.

Jovial's Note: The dragon also looked kinda scared of what it saw, I think? Could've also been scared of us, but I guess looking back at it, if I knew I was about to get erased from existence or whatever, I'd also be scared.
