Vara is an Associate of the Round Table.
Vara was born the third son of an influential individual from the Old Country. A troublemaker who was written off as a rebellious child, even into their second century of life. Upon discovering their father's plan to become a living divinity, Vara made a stand and was imprisoned, then set to be executed after a prophecy. While under house arrest, Vara's cottage was set ablaze. An old monk helped Vara escape, and with little to their name, fled their homeland, making their way to Onadbyr.
Vara is determined to gather the strength and allies needed to kill their father.
Skills
Vara is talented in combat, though he definitely isn't the biggest fan of it, preferring to end hostilities as soon as possible with overwhelming force. To this end, their tactics involve making their opponents vulnerable through any means, before delivering a devastating blow. Being the son of royalty and of villains, Vara knows how to navigate social meetings that range from a rogue's gallery to a royal court. Vara knows their way through both the natural world and the world of civilization, including the unsavory bits. An elf of duality, reflecting his own mixed and once-conflicting heritage.
As Vara's strength grew, his bloodline grew more prominent towards the Azata, and a spark of magic was ignited thanks to various encounters during his time as an Associate. Deities of fire contest Vara's soul - Lady Nanbyo feels cheated, despite the arson being unnatural, it did lead to a wildfire, which was meant to have Vara as its fuel. Her curse manifests as a fire within Vara's chest, threatening to burn him and all around him in a final blaze. The Empyreal Lord Ragathiel feels sympathy for the elf due to their familiar circumstances, and wards their body against Nanbyo's curse of flame. The Elemental Lord Ymeri shows preference to Vara as they learn to channel their curse to devastating effect.
Personality
Vara is passionate and somewhat impulsive. Prone to letting their emotions get the better of them, and they wear their emotions on their sleeve - and their face and rest of their visible skin, as Vara's veins glow brighter the stronger his emotional state becomes.
