We got hired today to do some kind of race for the South County. Some research reveals that no one knows what the hell they're talking about, but I'm never opposed to making money and having fun. We met up with a Mister Boone and his poor donkey, and he tried to explain everything but he left some... things out.
The donkey was carrying some meat sacks, and we arrive to our location, where we were suddenly on our own with the meat bags and a cart. Boone told us (telepathically?) to just put down the bags in front of the cart, so we did... and some abominations appeared. Clementine and Melfyra seemed to be talking to them? A few more racers arrived, a seemingly empty cart, a cart with some fairies, and a yeti? Things weren't making sense, but all we had to do was win, so we started driving. I could see some long limbs coming out of the empty cart, so as the race started, I tried to jump to that one... and almost messed up. I was able to just grasp the cart, but the drivers, who were Anadi, just HAD to try to stomp me off their cart. For all they knew, I was only trying to help them! Which they obviously needed, as I managed to make my way up and realized they didn't seem to know how to drive their spider cart.
Taking their reins, I was able to get us back on course so that we wouldn't all crash and die. Getting our bearings, I pass the tooth fairy cart... noticing Peaches is on there, massacring them all. There were a lot more of them on there, but Peaches had it handled... I was faring worse off but I earned their respect by driving. The Yeti had also fallen behind the cart with the rest of our party, and instead of driving, flew into a blind rage and managed to kill all 3 Anadi riders before knocking me out with his flying body. I wasn't even able to enact my deception and to attempt to kill anything!
Next thing I know I wake up with money in hand. We had won the South! We also appeared 4 days away from town, without a ride, which was a bummer.
