New Player Pipeline

When a potential new player joins the Discord server, there are a few steps they must complete before they can participate in sessions.

Step 1: Character Concept & Opening Ticket

Before starting the process, the player should have a general idea for a character in mind. They can read the Creating a Character page for guidelines specific to Kelek. Once that is done, they should go to the #rules-and-tickets channel or use the command /ticket to open a ticket. A ticket is a channel that opens at the top of the Discord server which includes all Storytellers and the individual who opened the ticket.

Step 2: Interview

Using the ticket, the player schedules an interview with a Storyteller. The interview is used to get a feel for how the player would fit in in the server, as well as identify any potential red flags. The interview should take about 15 minutes.

If the Storyteller determines that the player would be a good fit, the player is given the Resident role and a Foundry account with a character sheet.

Step 3: Character Approval

The player creates a character in the Foundry using the steps outlined in Creating a Character.

Once the character is fully approved by a Storyteller, the ticket can be closed, and the player will be ready to play in sessions.
