We collect a large cannon and position it on the elevator. The party was warned that there are trolls on the second level. Zokun is sure that this cannon will help. We are not sure what will happen once the elevator gets to the bottom so we get ready for anything.
The elevator gets to the bottom and I see some large gross looking trolls. A light spell was cast and it shows three trolls and two of daro behind them. The battle begins right away. Hiromi and Fen make sure we don't fall, Zokun keeps the cannon on target, Absinthe uses magic and a...creature, a biloko warrior, to keep the cannon loaded. Timid and I take the front line. I got a few good hits in and they got a few more, at least there was more of us. The trolls take us head on while the daro shoot from the dark. As we whittle the trolls down we have to set them on fire to make sure they stay dead. The cannon was more difficult to keep loaded then most of us thought but Zokun was able to get a few shots off and even pulled out his pistol taking out one of the daro in the back. The last daro was hit but ran away, little coward.
After that first encounter we take a minute to search the area and Absinthe has the biloko push the cannon to the door where the blood trail from the last daro fled to. Whatever is through the door has to know we are coming. Zokun sets up the cannon aiming to what we hope is a good spot for a first shot. Fen and myself bust open the doors and Zokun has the cannon ready so I figured I would set it off. He is a lucky dwarf and had it aimed perfectly. We hit two trolls right off the bat. Timid and I hang near the doors as the tolls make their way to us. From the back a strange troll comes running up with a daro on its shoulder. It seems like it doesn't care about the other trolls, yelling and even attacking one of them. Fen yells to get the daro on the shoulder. I am way too short to reach, so I just stick with taking out the trolls. It will have to get down once its ride is dead. Timid and I take a beating but Hiromi and Fen took their jobs seriously. Zokun was caught in a spell and went blind. He didn't really seem that upset. I heard him say he doesn't need eyes to load. With the help of Fen, Zokun was able to get another shot off. Because he couldn't see, he ended up getting the troll, the daro and Timid (who survived the hit). Once the odd troll was about to fall the, the daro magic user jumps down and I give it a good punch to the face. I guess it didn't like that, I saw it move its hands around and say something I didn't under stand. It made me feel uneasy about everyone around me. It didn't last long as Absinthe with the help of Grandfather threw an empty jar and killed it.
After clearing the room Fredrick showed up and gave us great praise. I'm not sure if he would like everyone to know but he has a secret room full of treasure. Don't tell him I told you.

With the financial and military support of King Fredrick, each associate is given the role of captain of a small detachment of dwarves. We prepare ourselves for the battle ahead with funds given by the king himself. Through clever use of our personal strengths and a pooling of money we establish battle lines. Cutter and Sade form the spearhead with Timid Thistle and Cozin covering the flanks and providing support. Vreal and Zokun acted as ranged support with vial and cannon respectively, and Serene led a horseback gunner sortee to one side with Absinthe's battalion in support. We fought our way through duergar stranglers, magisters, and cavern trolls alike until we broke their lines and overran the field. Minimal casualties were suffered with no loss of life among the captains.
